This event is set to spotlight some of the most promising players young players in the city, giving basketball enthusiasts a sneak peek into the future. The event promises to have several standout athletes to watch, here’s a look at some of the class of 2029 players to watch.
Jaden Ballon
Jaden Ballon
Ballon is an up and coming PG in the class. He’s a jitterbug guy, that plays the game with a ton of shiftiness and wiggle. He’s going to force someone to defend him in 1 v 1 situations, which could lead to some fun highlight moments for the exciting PG.
Vari Floyd Johnson
Vari Floyd Johnson
I like the basketball intelligence of Johnson, his skill isn’t bad either. He is a crafty scorer that loves to shoot short jumpers around the rim. It will be fun to watch him navigate the paint at the camp as any given time he can play on the interior or get into the paint off drives.
Brandon Brown
Brandon Brown
Brown is a no nonsense player that I expect to bring some dynamic scoring to the camp. There will be some advanced drills, and I want to see how he handles them. His ultimate evaluation will come from his ability to add to his already multi dimensional offensive game.
Kaden Guzman
Kaden Guzman
Not 100 percent sure if we’ll have Guzman at the camp, but I hope we do because he is a good defender that plays the game with a competitive edge. One of the easiest ways to get noticed at camps is by playing defense and that’s the hard nosed guards specialty.
AJ Hawkins
AJ Hawkins
Hawkins has gotten a lot of attention recently and he’s deserved every bit of it. Know he moves into a different stage of his development, which is competing at a high level when he is the hunted. Hawkins demeanor doesn’t give away anything so I doubt he’ll be fazed, however all eyes will be watching to see how the Elite 100 camp MVP performs.
Uriah Carr
Uriah Carr
Carr is one of the cities sleepers, but hopefully the camp can provide him with exposure. He’s a talented young big with a ton of upside. He’s a good in traffic rebounder, however I’m looking to see how much offensive skill the developing post player has. Look for him to score the ball off both low post and faceup opportunities.
Brennen Cuello
Brennen Cuello
Cuello is a player that attended the camp a few years ago, so it will be interesting to see how he has developed. He’s a good shooter that has improved his handle, which will allow him to become a better playmaker. He’s certainly a player to watch at the event.
