In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the Speedway Sparkplugs.
Quick Hitters
- Finished 4-19 last season
- Lost to Beech Grove in Sectionals
- Chuck Bennett returns for 21st season as head coach. 175-267 overall record.
Top Player: Cam Reich Cam Reich 6'1" | SG Speedway | 2024 State IN
The 6’1 shooting guard comes to Speedway via a transfer from Brownsburg and automatically becomes the Sparkplugs best player. As far as bucket-getters, that is exactly what Reich is because he can score at nearly every level and do it at a high rate. He also has one of the more stronger builds at his position which allows him to be physical to what the defense gives him. Has a chance to put up big numbers this season and will help Speedway win more games this season.
