The conference will look much different this season due to a number of departures, both players and coaches. Sam Briscoe replaced Justin Tatum at CBC, one of the best jobs in the state, and a handful of excellent senior guards graduated. The conference has an abundance of talent in the 2025 and 2026 classes. The pure talent and relative inexperience for a handful of the teams will lead to interesting games and a competitive season.
Chaminade transitions to a talented youth movement.
The Red Devils have diversity at guard, shooting on the wing, and college size in the frontcourt. There’s no single standout among the group and this is a team that can have a different leading scorer every night. Jamison White Jamison White 6'7" | SF Chaminade | 2026 State MO is a headliner because of his accolades being a Team USA mini-camp attendee. The 6’7 sophomore and his brother, Jahidi, give them powerful forces around the rim and a rebounding edge. 6’10 Ben Winker Ben Winker 6'11" | PF Chaminade | 2025 State MO has earned a handful of Division 1 offers and is one of the top post prospects in the state. Jonny Jordan Jonny Jordan 6'2" | PG Chaminade College Prep | 2026 MO , Collin Perry Collin Perry 6'0" | SG Chaminade | 2025 State MO , and Jacob Robinson Jacob Robinson 5'11" | PG Chaminade | 2025 State MO are all capable ball-handlers and will split time at the point guard. Jordan, a 6’2 sophomore, has early college offers and can run the offense at a high level while providing shooting. Perry and Robinson are defensive game changers with speed in the open floor. Collin Perry Collin Perry 6'0" | SG Chaminade | 2025 State MO is an x-factor for this group. Lastly, 2025 Colin Keller Colin Keller 6'2" | SG Chaminade | 2025 State MO is a great shooter off the ball.
Vianney has an elite 2026 duo.
Eddie Smajic Eddie Smajic 6'5" | SF Vianney | 2026 State MO and Symon Ghai Symon Ghai 7'3" | C Vianney | 2026 State MO contrast each other well. Smajic, a 6’6 wing, is a great scorer with an impressive frame. He gets to his spots at all three levels. He averaged 14.8 PPG as a freshman and is the 2nd ranked Missouri 2026 in our database. Symon Ghai Symon Ghai 7'3" | C Vianney | 2026 State MO has a case for the most unique player in the state. The 7’3 center is a cheat code when it comes to blocking shots and altering the game at the rim. His development has been rapid. Power 5 schools are beginning to enter the picture. Luke Walsh Luke Walsh 6'2" | SG Vianney | 2025 State #374 Nation MO is a highly rated 2025 sharpshooter on the perimeter. His range extends beyond the line and he’s capable of going for 20+ on any night. Ben Karsten Ben Karsten 6'2" | SG Vianney | 2026 State MO fills a role as an off-guard as well. The 2026 prospect can light it up from three.
Briscoe creates buzz and brings a new culture to CBC.
The first year coach will rely on a trio of Terron Garrett Terron Garrett 6'5" | SG CBC | 2025 State MO , Matt Michalski Matt Michalski 6'10" | PF CBC | 2025 State MO , and Landon Schlanger Landon Schlanger 6'7" | PF CBC | 2024 State MO with the possibility of a few football players contributing. Garrett is a smooth 6’5 guard who can play both ends. He’s a strong slasher with playmaking qualities and the ability to smother shots with length. Michalski has improved since his freshman season and brings elite size at 6’10. He’s a dunker spot specialist who will help the Cadets control the glass. Schlanger has a unique skill-set and will see a ton of time at the 4. The 6’7 senior will be a leader and stretch the floor with shooting ability. He’s a versatile player that can do many things. Briscoe has enough talent to compete night in and night out in this tough conference.
De Smet has strong guard play.
The Spartans are going to be a fast paced run & gun style of team. Kent Williams has tons of quality guards and can substitute in waves. Riley Massey Riley Massey 6'3" | PG De Smet Jesuit | 2025 State MO is the standout. He’s a pass, dribble, and shoot player who’s an efficient shooter while limiting turnovers in the process. One of the better combo guards in 2025. The Duff brothers are a staple of the lineup. Dillon and Owen shoot with proficiency and bring a level of toughness. Ian Thomas Ian Thomas 6'3" | SG DeSmet | 2026 State MO will showcase his value and ability to guard multiple positions with the makeup of this team. The 6’2 sophomore can be a point guard, defend the post, and rebound out of his area. He’s a unique defensive piece. 2025 Ta’Shawn Henton has varsity experience and adds further ball-handling to a loaded backcourt. De Smet will be a fun team to watch as the season progresses. They can beat anybody on any given night because of their ability to get hot from three and turn the game into a track meet.
SLUH is the sleeper.
Erwin Claggett is a top coach in the area and adjusts his style based on the skill-set of his players. Charlie Isom-McCall is a tough guard who will carry a lot of the load on offense. He simply gets it done and is someone that the coach trusts. He averaged double figures last season. Landon Pace is a 6’5 post who will do a lot of the dirty work. His father, Orlando, is an NFL hall of famer and it’s easy to see where his size comes from. His ability to set good screens, rebound, and convert tough shots at the rim will be key in unlocking the team’s full potential. Emory Woehrmann is a 2027 that will have to make an early impact. He’s a capable shooter and has been testing himself vs. older competition this fall. Expect big things out of the frosh moving forward.
