Hilton Dessausure Hilton Dessausure 5'11" | CG Northside Christian | 2025 State SC (Northside Christian) – Hilton Dessausure Hilton Dessausure 5'11" | CG Northside Christian | 2025 State SC begins our list of 2025s who submitted highlights for review. Hilton is a left-handed guard who is a natural scorer at all three levels. He is confident pulling up off the dribble, but can also play as a spot-up shooter and be efficient from behind the arc. Hilton even had some plays where he drove into the paint and finished around bigger defenders. I was very impressed with Dessausure’s film and some of the flashes he showed.
Lance Henderson Lance Henderson 6'0" | CG Broome | 2025 State SC (Broome HS) – Lance showed made some really nice plays on film. He had the ball in his hands a lot and was solid in multiple areas of the game. He is a good shooter, ball-handler, passer, and even defender. He showed an ability to do all those things on tape, but the shooting in particular stood out. Henderson has a consistent stroke and knocked some down in big moments, including a game-winner at the buzzer.
Carter Brown Carter Brown 6'1" | SF Andrew Jackson Academy | 2025 State SC (Andrew Jackson Academy) – Carter is a very interesting prospect from the film room. He is listed at 6’0″ but he plays taller due to his strength and athleticism (also a Football Player). On his highlight reel, he forced turnovers and contested shots well while guarding multiple positions. Brunson-Brown has quick feet and a high vertical but he even had some tape of him knocking down 3’s, which if that becomes more consistent he can be a really good player.
Nehemiah Thompkins Nehemiah Thompkins 6'3" | SF Greenville | 2025 State SC (Greenville HS) – Nehemiah had some nice 3 & D moments on his highlight reel. He has really good size and athleticism that allowed him to make plays on the defensive end, which at times even led to some nice finishes in transition. Thompkins also showed a very consistent jump shot on film – and his teammates seemed to recognize that and want to set him up for good looks behind the arc.
JC Woods JC Woods 6'2" | SG Lower Richland | 2025 SC (Lower Richland HS) – JC Woods JC Woods 6'2" | SG Lower Richland | 2025 SC has one of the best floaters that I’ve seen during this series. It stands out right away, and it is both effective and consistent. He liked to operate in the middle of the floor where he is solid driving to his left or his right to get to that floater, finish at the rim, or dump off to a teammate. Woods also showed an ability to knock down 3’s on his highlight reel as well.
RJ Pickering (South Pointe HS) – RJ is a solid Junior Guard for South Pointe High School. I was impressed with his tape and his ability to beat defenders off the dribble. He showed good quickness and a tight handle that allowed him to get paint touches when looking to score or facilitate. RJ’s film also displayed that he has great hands on the defensive end, an attribute that allowed him to help cause havoc on opposing ball handlers.
DJ Martin DJ Martin 5'10" | PG Fountain Inn | 2025 State SC (Fountain Inn HS) – DJ submitted his film from one of last season’s games against Woodruff High School. Martin’s speed was on display, both in the half-court and in transition. He frequently got past defenders, getting to his left hand to make plays for himself and his teammates. DJ’s tape showed great floor vision to go with his speed and handle, which makes him a guy that you can trust with the ball in his hands.
