We dive into the positional rankings. We first look at the point guards for the sophomore class.
Here are the top-8 PG’s in the 2026 class:
Mason Magee Mason Magee 6'0" | PG Basha | 2026 State AZ Basha (Pictured)
One of the most athletic players in the class and he also happens to be the youngest. He flies on the break with breakneck speed and not many have his tight handle and pace. He is very quick on the ball defensively and he has a mean pull-up with high elevation from mid-range.
Miles Sadler Miles Sadler 5'11" | PG Canyon International Academy | 2026 State AZ Canyon International Academy
A jet quick true point guard with a yo-yo handle. He has next level speed and looks to set up his teammates on the break and in the half court set. He has a real burst to get to the paint and his shooing is advancing from mid to the three.
TJ Harris TJ Harris 6'0" | PG Paradise Honors | 2026 State AZ Paradise Honors
A quick scoring lead guard has a next level tight handle with either hand. He has good open court speed and can make plays. He is a good scorer from all levels with catch and pull threes and running floaters.
John Mattingly John Mattingly 6'0" | PG Sunnyslope | 2026 State AZ Sunnyslope
A scoring lead guard plays with a huge IQ for the game and plays at his own pace. He also happens to be one of the best shooters on the list. He is very calm and patient and will pull-up from both perimeter levels and comes with range.
Jordan Charles Jordan Charles 5'11" | PG Canyon International Academy | 2026 State AZ Canyon International Academy
A scoring point guard plays fast. The faster the game goes, the better off he is. He has next level court vision and not many throw the lob pass better than him on the break. He can shoot the three, euro step to the basket and has a polished floater game.
Will Gordon Will Gordon 6'2" | CG San Tan Charter | 2026 State AZ San Tan Charter
A bigger scoring lead guard is another two-way player. He is a plus rebounder using his size and athleticism and scores on put backs. He can get to the basket with his size and burst and will hit the open three.
Noah Gloor Noah Gloor 5'9" | PG Higley | 2026 State AZ Higley
A scoring lead guard who is highly skilled. He has the deepest shooting range on the list. He has real volleyball line range on the norm. He has a floater game and can pull-up from mid. He is super competitive to grab rebounds despite his size.
Joseph Lindsey Joseph Lindsey 5'10" | PG Mountain Pointe | 2026 State AZ Mountain Pointe
An undersized pure point guard has that next level speed and tight handle. He sees the court well and will find open teammates for assists up the court and will drive and kick it. He uses a burst to blow past his opponents and will score on layups and floaters.
