Latham is a versatile forward prospect to get to know at Goldsboro High in NC’s 2024 class. He’s a double-double machine in the making given his ability to attack off the bounce and be a presence on the offensive glass when the ball isn’t in his hands. He’s an emerging forward/wing prospect for DII programs in the region to get to know. He finished with 18.8 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 2.5 SPG and 2.1 APG as a junior in 2022-23. After playing alongside an East Carolina signee this past season, he’s set to do his own damage with the Cougars heading into his final season as their lead option.
Highlights
Manhertz is an active forward presence in the 2024 class looming just outside the Top 100 at the 102nd spot in the ranks out of Green Level High in the Cary area. He’s set to be a leader in their frontcourt following a productive grassroots campaign with Garner Road Select this past spring/summer. He’s shown he can do more than score the ball with his ability to rebound the ball and alter shots in the painted area with his length at 6-foot-6. He produced 6.4 PPG, 3.6 RPG and 1.2 APG and led the Gators in blocks (23) in 2022-23.
Highlights
Haymon is a sizeable forward prospect out of the 252 area He’s shown he can operate on the perimeter as a stretch-forward presence. He’s a 6-foot-8 big man who’s shown he can rebound the ball and pose matchup problems for opposing defenders in the pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop game. He returns for a program that went 28-3 this past season looking to do more damage after posting 10.1 PPG, 7.0 RPG and 1.4 BPG as a junior. As he shows he can operate inside the painted area just the same as he can on the perimeter, look for his stock to grow on the recruiting trail as a DII/DIII prospect at Northern Nash High in 2023-24.
Barfield will be a new name to get to know at Richmond Senior High in the Sandhills Conference as a new addition. He joins out of Marlboro County High in South Carolina looking to contribute with his ability to attack the basket and create in space after producing 10.9 PPG on 58 percent shooting from the floor as a junior. He’ll be a versatile option for a talented rotation with his own slew of offers from a few DI programs already. Look for his name to grow on the NCHSAA 3A stage in 2023-24.
Lash is a prospect in the Triad area out of South Stokes High to keep an eye on inside the Top 150 in the 2024 rankings. He’s a versatile wing prospect at 6-foot-5 who can operate at a number of positions given his ability to play without the ball and create off the bounce. He returns for a squad that went 25-5 and unbeaten in the NCHSAA 1A Northwest Conference at 12-0 this past season. Look for his name to grow as more DII and DIII programs get eyes on him in the region. Guilford College has offered him.
Ware is another prospect out of the Cary area at Panther Creek High to keep eyes in the Top 150 at the 123rd spot in the 2024 rankings. He’s a 6-foot-7 big man who’s starting to put it all together as a two-way presence in the paint. He’s a long, wiry 6-foot-7 prospect who’s shown flashes of his ability to block shots, rebound the ball and attack the rim with his strong frame. As he learns to keep up with the speed of the varsity game, look for his name to grow as a DII/DIII prospect in the class as an unsigned senior.
