Frager may very well be the most well-rounded high IQ player in the state of Nebraska. The strong left handed small forward does a little bit of everything, whether its diving for loose balls, boxing out for rebounds, or knocking down efficient open shots. His athleticism will be a pleasant surprise to whichever college program is lucky enough add him to their roster. He is a no slack defender either showing the ability to guard multiple positions using his strength and lateral quickness. He recently took an official visit to Nebraska and currently holds offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Northwestern, Creighton, & Bryant. Can the Cornhuskers secure this local talent?
Kong is a player flying way under the radar for some reason. The 6’6 forward has an improving offensive game that showcases the ability to knock down open threes and finishing off the dribble and through contact. He is a solid free-throw shooter who capitalizes on defensive mistakes. On the defensive he is extremely disruptive due to his wingspan and athleticism making it possible for him to guard 2-4 when needed. This young man currently hold no offers, but expect that to change by the end of the upcoming high school season.
If you are looking for a big man who you can run an offense through look no further than Quientan Mccafferty Quientan Mccafferty 6’9″ | C Concordia | 2024 State NE . The 6’9 center is threat from anywhere in a half court offense whether its hitting open threes and mid-range jumpers, scoring in the low post over either shoulder, or getting offensive rebounds and finishing through contact. His passing makes plays look effortless and can find open teammates from the low or high post. McCafferty is a coaches dream just a solid big man who works on his game and plays his heart out. He recently received an offer from Truman State and also currently holds offers from Morningside University, Hastings College, Dordt University, & Concordia University (NE).

Loftin is a crafty combo guard who is a volume scorer when he gets going. He is efficient and effective whether he is on or off the ball, but his best asset is his ability to get to his spot for an open shot with very limited or no wasted dribbles. His ability to hit from mid-range really stands out along with his willingness to pass to open or cutting teammates makes him very unpredictable with the ball in his hands. He is also a strong defender who is isn’t afraid to pick guards up full court and forces turnovers quite often. Loftin currently holds no offers but is looking to showcase his talent this upcoming season.
When talking about the top point guards in the state, Shumaker should definitely be in the conversation. While he is slightly undersized he makes up for it with the amount of heart in which he plays with. Along with his never say die attitude, he is an excellent shooter off the bounce or off the catch and showcases a high IQ when running an offense and making plays for himself and his teammates. He currently holds no offers, but you will definitely see an increase in his recruitment over the next high school and grassroots season.
Thomas is a play making guard with a scorers mentality and a high basketball IQ. He knows how to play with pace and use his quick first step to get by defenders and finish at a high percentage. His understanding of how to attract defenders and make passes for easy buckets is exceptional. Thomas is a solid three point threat but seems to still be improving his shooting percentage each game I’ve seen him play. As much as he does on the offensive end he is also an intense on ball defender constantly making it difficult for opposing guards to put the ball on the floor. He recently received and an offer from McCook Community College and also holds offers from McPherson College, Redlands Community College, & Central Community College and looks to add to that list this upcoming season.
Strong is a surprisingly athletic guard who is constantly looking to get a bucket. His ability to finish in traffic and get to the freethrow line is a key part of his game but is volume shooter from three who can get going in a hurry. One thing that really stands out on the defensive end is how well he communicates with his teammates and seemingly is always in the right place at the right time getting steals and finishing in transition. I believe that Strong will be a valuable option at any level at either guard spot. He currently holds an offer from Midland University which more than likely wont be his only offer for very long.
Pokorski is floor general with all the tools to help his team win. he is a phenomenal facilitator in the open court as well as in half court sets running offenses to near perfection. he is solid finisher when attacking the basket while also shooting it from three at high percentage whether its off the dribble or catch and shoot. Defensively he is a solid as they come on ball while sliding in to play help defense and take charges regularly. Regardless of where he ends up he will impact winning guaranteed. he currently holds offers from Colorado State-Pueblo, Southwest Minnesota, Augustana, & Midland University.
Bynum is an athletic big who loves to play above the rim. He can quite literally control a game on both ends challenging and or blocking anything near the rim. his offensive game is rapidly improving starting with his mid-range jump shot and has started to show the potential to put the ball on the floor and create, but still out of everything this young man can do, his pure athleticism and all out effort is what makes him a mismatch nightmare on both ends for opponents. He currently holds offers from Oregon, Nebraska, Iowa, Wake Forest, Creighton, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Iowa State, & California.
Highlights
Turner is an super efficient point guard who is constantly looking to make a play for himself and his teammates. With this young man there seems to be no wasted dribbles or unnecessary movement, if he’s coming off a screen he’s ready to shoot, off the dribble he’s looking to facilitate for the best look. Ultimately the fact he’s as good as he is and is still improving is insane. He most recently picked up an offer from Wayne State and its only a matter of time before colleges come knocking.
