Paul Comba, 5’9 G – South Burlington H.S. Class of 2025
I’ve seen this kid get microwave hot. The combo-guard has a shiftiness and the footwork to lose guys with his handle, and he’s prone to getting to his spots and rising up for buckets both from deep and in the mid-range. Moreover, he has the wit to move off-ball and work as an efficient spot-up shooter or use screens to create space. Comba’s a savvy defender too, holding his own on both ends.
Jack Lafayette, 5’10 G – South Burlington H.S. Class of 2026
There are games where Jack’s box score makes it clear how impactful he is, and there are games where you just have to watch to see all the little things he does that impact winning. Lafayette’s a fantastic decision maker; the ball never sticks, he’s either shooting his shot, driving the lane, or making a smart pass. Furthermore, he’s chock full of hustle, smart on and off-ball defense, and a will to win.
Dallas St. Peter, 5’10 G – Rice Memorial H.S. Class of 2025
Dallas is the dependable type; you know exactly what you’re getting. St. Peter is a floor general who gets the offense running smoothly and distributes the rock with ease. He’s shown he can create offense as well with his sly reading of pnr coverage and defensive rotations, finding looks at each level for himself and others. A high-IQ defender who stitches the coverage together, Dallas plays winning ball.
Caelen Zeilenga, 5’11 G – U-32 H.S. Class of 2024
A natural 2-guard, Caelen brings a toughness + shooting to the table. Zeilenga is knockdown from range, particularly off the catch, using screens, spot-ups, and savvy relocation to find his space. Moreover, he draws a lot of attention and sees the floor well, able to make the dish to the open man when the defense over commits. A rugged defender and smart weak side helper, Zeilenga holds it down.
Luke Allen, 6’3 G – Champlain Valley Union H.S. Class of 2025
With Luke’s size and skillset, he’s cemented himself as a do-it-all 2-guard/wing. Allen’s ability to play inside/out ensures tons of boards, solid rim protection, tough perimeter D, and a high-level of switchability with his coverage running 2-5. Once the rock is recovered, he can run the break, orchestrate the offense, or work off ball and exploit holes as a spot-up shooter and as a cutter. Solid foundation with big upside.
Nick Mascitti, 6’2 G/W – Williamstown H.S. Class of 2026
I’ve got Nick down as one of the big up-and-comers in D3. Mascitti has the size and skillset to do a whole lot of damage. First, he’s a lethal slasher who finishes over the top of guys. Plus, he has a jumper that’s improving to the point where defenders have to respect both the shot and the drive. A versatile defender and a hungry rebounder who can explode into transition, Nick has a high ceiling with Williamstown.
Mo Abdirahman, 5’8 G – Burlington H.S. Class of 2027
A scoring PG, Mo is known for his ability to fill it up. Abdirahman is a certified 3-level scorer who can shake and bake with his athleticism, creating all kinds of space for himself and feeding others when the D sends too much help. He’s a dynamic defender too who disrupts point guards with his agility and anticipation. I like his Mo’s offensive creation and will to win.
