Kyle Eaton Kyle Eaton 5'9" | PG Champlain Valley Union | 2024 NLG , 5’8 G – Champlain Valley Union H.S. Class of 2024
With some of the quickest hands and feet around, Kyle gets to his spots whenever he wants. Eaton’s crisp ballhandling, quick trigger, and 3-level scoring make him a constant threat. Because he’s so lethal, he soaks up a ton of defensive attention and is able to create for others. Defensively he uses all that quickness to lock in on ballhandlers; a total pest for PGs to navigate. Tough and so talented.
Tyler Bergmans Tyler Bergmans 6'2" | SG South Burlington | 2024 State NLG , 6’2 G – South Burlington High School Class of 2024
While he can burst out of the pack, Tyler’s shown a preference to use his strength and footwork to create space. He gets downhill with ease and with his wide-ranging finishing package, very few are able to slow him down from insane efficiency inside. Moreover, his mid-range is strong, and his 3-ball is there when he wants it. A unique talent, Tyler covers 1-4, glues the defense together, and is the best perimeter rebounder I know.
Owen Eaton Owen Eaton 6'2" | CG Rice Memorial | 2025 State NLG , 6’1 G – Rice Memorial H.S. Class of 2025
A true spark plug, Owen can get microwave hot in a hurry. The combo-guard’s athleticism is top notch as is his skill; a 3-level scorer with the legs to finish at the rim and shoot over the defense, Owen is tough to contain. Moreover, he’s smart off-ball and knows how to use screens and exploit gaps. A versatile defender with insane hops, Eaton can lock down the perimeter, rotate quickly, and block guys at the rim. Kid is impressive.
Freddie Bacon, 5’11 G – Colchester H.S. Class of 2026
There aren’t many 2026s that are as poised as Freddie. Bacon took the reins last year at PG and quickly became one of CHS’ most important players. His facilitation is keyed into his teammate’s strengths, often providing pristine looks in transition and the halfcourt. Moreover, Freddie can create his own looks at any level, manipulate the defense, and decide instantaneously what the right play is. The pure PG is a talented defender with high-IQ; no let up.
Carson Cody, 6’3 G – Montpelier H.S. Class of 2025
This dude is one of the toughest covers in the state. Carson’s a pure scorer whose range and confidence is unlimited. Carson has the ball on a string and can lose his defender with ease. Open looks are aplenty, whether he’s filling it up from deep, mid-range, short-range, or at the cup. Additionally, Carson’s a rugged + smart defender whose length and anticipation causes plenty of turnovers. Terrifically talented.
Abdi Sharif, 6’4 G – Rice Memorial H.S. Class of 2025
I can’t think of another defender who causes as much distress as Abdi. Sharif’s combination of size, athleticism, and smarts coalesce into an absolute defensive force. He locks up ballhandlers fullcourt and forces offenses into tough decision after tough decision. Furthermore, his offensive arsenal/facilitation has grown considerably; I anticipate he’ll be a top two-way guy this winter.
Carter Bruzzese, 5’10 G – Montpelier H.S. Class of 2025
Dependable and highly productive, Carter simply plays a winning brand of basketball. Bruzzese’s orchestration is clinical and it’s balanced nicely with his multi-level scoring ability, giving defenders no good option. On the defensive end, Carter is a pest going fullcourt or halfcourt with his sly anticipation and ability to corral ballhandlers into bad spots. Love the way he plays.
