Jack Dillon (Libertyville – 2025)
Embracing a pass-first mindset, Dillion utilized his keen vision to deceive defenders, leading them astray before delivering passes to teammates in stride. Despite his undersized stature, he’s a competitor who fearlessly challenges opponents. He never shied away from confronting ball handlers, hustling tenaciously for loose balls. In addition, he showcased a graceful floater that allowed him to release shots over taller defenders with finesse.

Kevin Cathey Jr. (Bolingbrook – 2024)
Cathey’s head fake served as a potent weapon, lifting defenders off the ground and created valuable opportunities for driving past them or crafting open shots with space. His shooting skills shined brightly, boasting an impressive touch both in mid-range and three-point shooting. When in transition, he maneuvers past defenders, consistently leaving them behind in the dust. Furthermore, his dribbling prowess allows him to effortlessly create separation from defenders, making him a scoring strength on the court.
Dylan Nowaskie Dylan Nowaskie 6'2" | SG Olympia | 2026 IL (Olympia – 2026)
He immediately grabbed attention with his ability to soar in and secure offensive rebounds, transforming those boards into second-chance scoring opportunities at times. Time and again, he displayed finesse when navigating through traffic near the rim, showcasing an ability to finish plays amidst challenging conditions. Additionally, he possesses a natural talent for rim running, consistently positioning himself with precision during fast breaks, ensuring he’s ready to capitalize on scoring opportunities.
Kobe Johnson Kobe Johnson 6'2" | SG Rich Township | 2025 IL (Rich Township – 2025)
Johnson demonstratied exquisite footwork around the rim, he possesses the finesse to execute crafty shots in the paint. With a pure and polished shooting form, he consistently nails mid-range jumpers and can extend his range out to the perimeter. When matched up against smaller defenders in the paint, he effectively overpowers them, creating a significant offensive advantage. On the defensive end, he exhibits intelligence by playing the passing lanes adeptly, frequently generating steals. Johnson’s remarkable athleticism enables him to stay on par with ball handlers and swiftly block or alter shot attempts, showcasing his defensive prowess.
Kenaz Jackson Kenaz Jackson 6'3" | SG Kankakee | 2026 IL Jr. (Kankakee – 2026)
His transition game included beautifully executed passes, seamlessly connecting with teammates on the move. When in transition, he’s also adept at stopping and popping for mid-range shots, adding versatility to his offensive arsenal. His court awareness shines as he gracefully navigates the floor, consistently positioning himself at the forefront of the rim, wing areas, or corners, ready to make plays and contribute offensively.
Dwayne Flowers (Prosser – 2024)
Flowers was another top player at the Expo in my book. He executed smooth and deceptive euro steps with finesse, gliding effortlessly through defensive players. His ball-handling skills are quick and fluid, maintaining control even in transition. He displayed remarkable dexterity, often maneuvering his way into challenging shots and consistently finding the mark. When attacking off the dribble against closeouts, he maintains patience and composure, showcasing his ability to create scoring opportunities. With remarkable agility, he slips into the paint, navigating through tight spaces with ease, and effectively uses his body to shield defenders. His scoring threat spans all three levels of the court, from inside the paint to the mid-range, and out to the perimeter. In addition to his scoring prowess, he adds a touch of flair with his flashy passing, enhancing his overall offensive repertoire.
Luis Solis (Minooka Community – 2024)
Solis executed clever screen slips, catching defenders off guard, and converting and-one opportunities. His ability to effectively navigate as a rim runner adds depth to his offensive contributions. His broad frame allowed him to adeptly shield opponents, creating space for himself and teammates. On one occasion, he caught the ball at the high post, impressively using a spin move to secure an open layup, showcasing his agility and basketball IQ.
Camden Vine Camden Vine 6'4" | SF Saint Charles North | 2025 IL (St. Charles North – 2025)
Vine’s hustle was on full display when following up missed shots, consistently capitalizing on second-chance opportunities. His knack for getting open underneath the basket lead to easy lay-ins. He fearlessly attacks the rim, demonstrating his poise as he finished through contact. On fast breaks, he excels in pushing the ball up-court, always keeping his eyes peeled to find open teammates and deliver pinpoint passes to the pocket. Offensively, he’s adept at spacing the floor, creating room for his teammates. He’s relentless in his cutting movements, constantly looking for opportunities to contribute. When it comes to rebounding, he flies in with determination and finesse, securing boards with authority. His finishing touch is versatile, as he’s equally proficient with both hands.
