This event brings some of the best players in the NWO area under one roof for college coaches to come to watch them compete against each other. This article will talk about one of the eight rosters made up of eight players who will be at the event.
The green team is the most athletic team in the event. They are all very long, and tall, and can do it all athletically. This team should be a fun one to watch. They will be led by Junior and the new Whitmer Panther Makhi Leach Makhi Leach 6'2" | SG Toledo Whitmer | 2025 State OH . The other guards who will join him are incoming freshman Isaiah Mack-Rusell and Sophomore Rogers Traden Booker Traden Booker 6'1" | PG Toledo Rogers | 2026 OH . The freak athlete out of Oak Harbor, Ethan Stokes Ethan Stokes 6'5" | SF Oak Harbor | 2025 State OH will be joining Leach on the Wing while the 6’6 Forward from Hopewell-London, Donovan Elmore Donovan Elmore 6'6" | PF Hopewell-loudon | 2024 State OH will be the team’s big. Now this is a great athletic 5 but it will also be joined by elite perimeter talent like Isaiah Beauchamp, Isaiah Brenneman Isaiah Brenneman 6'3" | SG Toledo Central Catholic | 2024 State OH , and Amani Dickerson Amani Dickerson 6'3" | SG Maumee Valley | 2024 State OH . This team is freaky athletic and will be super fun to watch. Below is an in-depth player analysis of this team.
Leach made big new before the school started as he went from Central Catholic to Whitmer. The loaded Panthers team added player that can be special. He is an incredibly long wing with some great athleticism. He has long strides and major bounce. This bounce allows him to finish almost everything acrobatically. His body control and way to twist himself in the air to finish a lay-up is unbelievable. He has next level touch around the rim. When Leach gets in transition, get your cameras out. He is great on the defensive end as well. His length and quickness allow him to apply suffocating on ball pressure. He causes a ton of turnovers and just creates havoc.
Booker just knows how to put the ball in the rim. Flat out scores. As a freshman he averaged 15 points a game and made it All-City 1st team. Just like everyone else on this team he is long and athletic. He has a great skillset and knows how to score at every level of the court but his sneaky long arms make him be affective at blocking and stealing the ball away. He is a smooth player that has great feel and control of himself when he plays.
Highlights
Mack-Russell comes into his freshman year at Central Catholic already with a D1 offer from Liberty University. He is a super quick and shifty guard that can quickly put the defender on skates. He does not over dribble as he easily gets to his spot. His off the dribble mid-range pull up game. He will be a very good scorer for this team and in transition will be fun to watch with the rest of the squad.
Stokes is an absolute freak athlete who can do it all. The tall and long wing can guard one through five with his athletic ability and defensive intensity. He knows his defense is his bread and butter for him. This leads to extreme effort and him getting turnovers for fastbreak dunks. He will be someone that could make you end up on the wrong side of a highlight. He has great leaping ability which leads to block and a lot of rebounds. He is not afraid to use his body at all. He is a physical athlete that I am a big fan off.
Elmore is a 6’6 from Hopewell-London who will turn heads and get a ton of college attentions on October 1st. He is exactly what every college coach wants. A tall forward with the strength to bang in the post with other bigs and out leap other wings and everyone on the glass. He has phenomenal length. Super coordinated and moves great for a big kid. He throws it down regularly. He runs the floor hard. Someone I think will have a big day at the event and will be big time attention getter.
Highlights
Isaiah Beauchamp
Isaiah Beauchamp
Beauchamp is known around the Toledo area as “Iso” and there is good reason for it. He is an elite 1on1 player who can cook you if your ended up on an island with just you and him. He is a smaller guard but has ultra-quick speed and handles. He is super shifty, has great change of pace, and hesitation with the ball. He is a high-volume shooter. Has a super quick shot and that he knows when to shot it. He gets the balance off defense and he either gets all the way to the rim or pulls it up for three. Someone I think will thrive on his high energy team and environment.
Brenneman is someone you love to have on your team. His effort and energy are always through the roof. He plays with a ton of passion and competitor. He is a big guard that uses his body extremely well when getting to the rim. He creates contact and has good ability to finish the ball from any angle. He knocks down shots when he is left open and contested. He usually has a spurt every game when he goes on a 9-to-11-point run by himself. He likes to attack the rim first, but he is a more than reliable shooter. He is good at finding the attacking angles in transition.
Dickerson is someone who has been on the rise in the division three radar as of late. He has taken a lot of visits and deservedly so. Dickerson is a long wing who uses his length better than most. He stretches and almost swims through the lane when attacking. He finishes very well with his arms fully extended with either hand. He is a best in transitioning. He explodes and runs by people like it’s a track meet when in the open court. He has great defensive energy and pressure. He has a knack for creating turnovers.
