Last season Rivers won the NEPSAC class B championship, and they will look to repeat that this season. Here are 5 players to know from Rivers heading into this season.
Ryan Altman Ryan Altman 6'6" | SG Rivers | 2025 State New E , Position SG, HT 6’6, Class 2025
Ryan is 6’6, and a very versatile Guard. He is a playmaker, who impacts the game in many ways. He scores from all areas of the floor. Watching him play his game looks very established and well rounded. He can shoot the three, handle the ball, play above the rim, or post up. He is a threat from the inside and out. He is also a very good rebounder, and passer. On defense he moves well for his size and can guard many positions. I believe Ryan has the game for the division 1 college level. He hold’s multiple division 1 offers, and that is due to his combination of skill’s, size and basketball IQ.
Amir Lindsey Amir Lindsey 5'10" | PG Rivers | 2024 State New E , HT 5’10, Position PG, Class 2024
Amir may be an undersized point Guard, but do not let that make you think anything about his game. He has proved him self to be one of the top Point Guards in his class in New England. He is such a quick and crafty player. He is a very good three point shooter, and is very good at creating separation. He has shown the abilities to shoot and finish over defenders of all sizes. If you pressure up on him he can use his quick first step to get by the defender. He is also a very good passer and sees the floor well. Amir is a true Point Guard, and has the game for the division 1 college level.
Jay Jones Jay Jones 6'4" | SG Cushing Academy | 2025 State #235 Nation New E , position G, HT 6’4, Class 2024
Jay Jones Jay Jones 6'4" | SG Cushing Academy | 2025 State #235 Nation New E is the son of BU Coach Joe Jones. Jay is a high level Guard, with good handles, and a player who likes to attack down hill. He is also a very good shooter. Jay has good size for the Guard position. He is able to get in the paint, and finish over bigger defenders, with his soft floaters. On defense he has good size, and is very active. Jay hold’s multiple division 1 offers, and should do well at that level.
Andrew Alekseyenko Andrew Alekseyenko 6'8" | PF Rivers | 2025 State New E , Position F, Class 2025, HT 6’7
Andrew is a skilled big man. At 6’7, he can play inside and out. He stretch’s the floor with his handles, outside shooting, and the abilities to get to the rim off the dribble. He is also very good in the post, and has a soft touch and good footwork. He can play above the rim, and is a good passer from the post. There is a lot of upside in his game. I think Andrew has the game to play at the division 1 college level.
Robby Fiore Robby Fiore 6'2" | SG Rivers | 2025 State New E , HT 6’2, Position CG, Class 2025
Robby is a transfer from Acton Boxborough where he had a very strong season. He also had a strong summer season playing on a high level Middlesex Magic team. I think Robby will fit in well, and will make an instant impact at Rivers. Robby is an athletic quick guard, with very good handles. He likes to attack downhill and has a variety of finishing moves at the rim. He is also a good three point shooter. Robby has a lot of potential, and I can’t wait to see what he does at Rivers.
