This article will be about the 1A Evergreen Conference MVP and first team selections.
MVP: Noah Schow Noah Schow 6'5" | SF Tenino | 2025 State WA (2025) Tenino HS
Noah is a lengthy guard/wing who stands at 6’5″. He can guard multiple positions and is very versatile on both sides of the ball. He is an efficient playmaker who stretches the floor and has a nice shooting touch on the ball. He is aggressive down low, crashing the boards hard and using his high motor every possession. Noah has shown overall improvements in his game throughout the summer, leading me to believe he will have a breakout year.
Other MVP Candidates: Austin Gonia (2025) – Tenino HS , Tyce Peterson Tyce Peterson 6'1" | SG Montesano | 2024 WA (2025) – Montesano HS
First Team Predictions:
Noah Schow Noah Schow 6'5" | SF Tenino | 2025 State WA (2025) – Tenino HS – see above.
Tyce Peterson Tyce Peterson 6'1" | SG Montesano | 2024 WA (2025) – Montesano HS – Tyce is a fantastic shot creator and hits mid-range shots with ease. He drives to the rim hard and has the agility to stop on a dime and pull up for an easy bucket. He also has the strength to put his shoulder down and get to the bucket. He has a very steady deep shot and can easily sink 4-5 in a game, every game. He has improved a lot over the AAU season and earned an offer to Pacific University over the summer. Peterson could break out even more and earn MVP honors.
Cason Seaberg (2024) – Elma HS – Cason is a player who goes under the radar but is a great hooper. He’s able to go on runs of scoring 5-10 points straight for his team and comes up big in the 4th quarter when it matters. He is a big time talent who leads his team well and knows how to close out big games. He is a player that could have a big, breakout season.
Austin Gonia (2025) – Tenino HS – Austin is a player who stepped up big for the team last season, as a sophomore. He rebounded the ball very well, having many games where he grabbed double digit boards. Gonia was able to score the ball well too, consistently having 15+ points and some games where he has 20+. He’s a player who could also win the MVP and plays great alongside Schow.
Griffin Clevenger (2024) – Eatonville HS – Griffin was huge for Eatonville last season and was LIGHTS OUT from long range. In a game against Elma last season, Clevenger dropped 33 points in route to hitting 8 threes on the night. He has a lighting quick release and is a player who can play at the next level, if he chooses to. Griffin will have an increased role this season and will look to showcase a well rounded game.
