The high school basketball seasons will be here before we know it. However, the basketball news is not slowing down one bit as we approach October. Whether it be commitments, scholarship offers, or college teams doing the homework. We have plenty going on in the Natural State this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='1991217' first='Annor' last='Boateng']-Small Forward-Little Rock Central-2024

Boateng is one of the state's most sought-after prospects. He drives the lane well and finishes at the basket in impressive fashion. Meanwhile, he has no problem stepping outside the arc and knocking down a deep three-point shot. Boateng is active on the defensive end and can force turnovers. Earlier in the week, the talented Little Rock Central prospect committed to the Missouri Tigers. He has the potential to see plenty of time on the court over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021880' first='JJ' last='Andrews']-Scoring Guard-Little Rock Christian-2026

The Little Rock Christian guard does an impressive job of running the court. He moves without the basketball well. Meanwhile, he is a player that has the ball handling ability to take the opposing defender off the dribble. Andrews is a player that can hit from anywhere on the court. Over the course of this week, he has had Memphis, Arkansas, Arkansas-Little Rock, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff all come by and watch the Warriors practice. He is a player to watch out for this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021883' first='Camarion' last='Bead']-Point Guard-Bryant-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='2021883' first='Camarion' last='Bead'] is a guard prospect that continues to open eyes as the high school season approaches. Bead distributes the ball well and always seems to be able to find the open shooter. The Bryant guard has a knack for hitting the big shot at key moments in the game. Bead can hit the contested jumper with little difficulty. Earlier this week, Bead earned a scholarship offer from TCU. I look for Bead to have a big year for the Hornets this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021881' first='Jordan' last='Harris']-Small Forward-Maumelle-2026

Maumelle has a talented basketball program. One prospect to keep an eye on over the next couple of seasons is forward [player_tooltip player_id='2021881' first='Jordan' last='Harris']. Harris can battle in the paint and put up the points. Meanwhile, he does not mind stepping outside and draining a long-range shot. Harris is a worker on both ends of the court. He does a good job of staying active defensively and can put the pressure on opposing players. Harris has started to attract the attention of the Arkansas Razorbacks recently. He is a prospect to keep an eye on this season.
