PH Alabama Top 250 Expo: Akiem’s Team 1 Primetime Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Following the girls' portion of Prep Hoops Alabama Top 250 Expo Saturday at Spain Park HS, the boys had their turn at the mic for the late afternoon and early evening.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Unlike the girls, who were sorted into three teams, the boys had roughly twice as many attendees as the girls. This meant they were sorted into six teams and the auxiliary gym at the home of the 7A Jaguars also had to be in use.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There were several from Team 1 that turned in impressive performances. One key reason for why he is so hard to keep in check is because of how well he fuses together speed with ball handling capabilities. In addition to having a mentality to attack the rim, he can get creative with his passes and those can throw defenses for a loop. Expect Dixon to connect as well from attempts in the midrange. Lindsey will also attack the rim and getting to the free throw line is a byproduct of the game being physical and being played on contact. Look out for when he has the ball right behind the 3-point arc as he is likely to take – and make – his tries from long range.
