Continue ReadingThe high school season is still a few months away but with team workouts starting to take place, it is the perfect time to start previewing the season. In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the Fishers Tigers
Quick Hitters
- Finished 14-12 last season
- Lost to Zionsville in Sectionals
- Five-star guard Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN transferred out of Fishers to La Lu.
- 5-straight winning seasons.
- Garrett Winegar returns for 4th year as head coach. 67-28 overall record as head coach.
- One of the favorites for Class 4A State this season.
Top Player: Keenan Garner Keenan Garner 6'6" | PF Fishers | 2024 State IN / Taden Metzger
With Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN out at Fishers, by default, the senior duo of Keenan Garner Keenan Garner 6'6" | PF Fishers | 2024 State IN and Taden Metzger will be looked at as two guys that will have to step up for the Tigers, which they will no question do. Garner has always been a player I have been super high on and think he is on his way for a huge breakout season that will answer any question on if he is a D1 player or now. With his size and skill, he will be so tough to contain this season. Metzger already comes into this season having his college picked out (Huntington) so his main focus will be helping Fishers win as much as possible. He is expected to lead Fishers in three-point shooting this season.
Potential Breakout Player: Cooper Zachary Cooper Zachary 5'9" | PG Fishers | 2027 State IN
Going to go ahead and say this: Buy stock in Cooper Zachary Cooper Zachary 5'9" | PG Fishers | 2027 State IN right now. The shorter lead guard is already a name you need to know when it comes to the 2027 class because he is going to be one of the best overall players before his high school career ends. He has great vision and can put a ball into any window. He can also score it from all three levels. Zachary is going to have a very bright future ahead of him.
Other Important Roster Members
- Parker Perdue Parker Perdue 6'3" | SF Fishers | 2024 State IN – Perdue is going to provide senior leadership and consistency for Fishers this season. Physical 6’3″ wing that has great size, strength, and athleticism on the wing. He will have big games this season and will make very many winning plays for the Tigers.
- JonAnthony Hall JonAnthony Hall 6'1" | PG Fishers | 2025 State IN – Hall is another player that could see a breakout season for Fishers. In terms of pure athleticism, Hall is among the very best in the state of Indiana. He consistently dominates in transition, gets to the rim off of the dribble, and showcases an improving outside shot.
- Justin Kirby – Kirby is another potential breakout player for Fishers this season. An extremely good athlete, solid shooter off the catch and plays with a lot of bounce. He will help them win games this season.
- Millen McCartney Millen McCartney 6'1" | PG Fishers | 2025 State IN – The 6’2″ athletic guard has been a sneaky stock riser in the 2025 class. Although not the biggest player, he does get a little scrappy around the rim battling for boards. Smart guard too.
- Nathan Baker – Baker is a strong 2025 wing who is incredibly tough getting to the hole. He has good footwork on the inside, and he is incredibly aggressive with the ball in his hands.
