High School Spotlight: Cathedral Fighting Irish

In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. From going a relatively unknown player in a loaded Cathedral program, Koehler knows slides right into the best player for the Fighting Irish. At 6'8″ with a smooth left-handed stroke from beyond the arc he has the physical tools and skills that will translate to a high-level in college. The harpshooter is the definition of a stock-riser and already comes in with multiple D1 offers with hardly getting any varsity time last season. He will be the best player on this Cathedral team this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player(s): [player_tooltip player_id='1297083' first='Lebron' last='Gough'] / [player_tooltip player_id='1561135' first='Keaton' last='Aldridge Jr']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Both Gough and Aldridge Jr. are some of the best options for potential breakout years respect. Gough should come in this season as the primary ballhandler and get his shot to lead the backcourt of this team. Really like his ability to play both on and off the ball and also how quick he was getting downhill. Switching over to Aldridge Jr., there may not be a more aggressive 2026 in the state than him. His motor is great on both ends and he is a true three-level scorer.
