Continue ReadingFishers High School held their second annual college combine where media and college coaches from all levels were invited to watch their 2023-24 team participate in drills, skill challenges and 5-on-5 action. Once again, it was a great turn out like it was last year. Prep Hoops Indiana was there in full force taking in the combine. With that, here is my notebook from the event.
College Coaches came out from all levels
What is great about this event is that allows college coaches at all levels to come out and check out the talent that is on Fishers, which is usually a lot. There are multiple players on the Fishers roster this year that have all the potential to play at the next level. Schools that were in attendee at the combine include Eastern Illinois, Marian, University of Indianapolis, Purdue-Northwest, Indiana Wesleyan, Huntington, and Franklin. Moat were there to check out players they were recruiting however Huntington was the one there to watch Taden Metzger, who had already committed there.
The Freshman at Fishers are going to be special
The incoming freshman at Fishers are going to be really, really special. The Tigers bring in two of the top freshman in the in-state 2027 with guards Cooper Zachary Cooper Zachary 5'9" | PG Fishers | 2027 State IN and Jason Gardner Jason Gardner WG IN Jr. Both are extremely good passers and make very good reads when they play on the ball. They are tough shot makers and creators while also competing on the defensive end. While Zackery and Gardner Jr. get most of the attention, one hidden gem freshman that you need to keep an eye on is Levi Walker because even though he is still very raw as a player, his athletic tools make him extremely intriguing. The Fishers program is set with top their talent for years to come.
Skill Challenge Standouts

Nathan Baker (Vertical)
Levi Walker (Vertical)
Jason Gardner Jason Gardner WG IN Jr. (Cone Drill)
Keenan Garner Keenan Garner 6'6" | PF Fishers | 2024 State IN (Cone Drill)
Quick Evals
Parker Perdue Parker Perdue 6'3" | SF Fishers | 2024 State IN – Perdue is the definition of a ‘glue guy’ in my opinion. He won’t wow you with elite scoring, but he will do all the little things as hard as he can that it takes to win games. Also thought in the fact that he is really good a cutting off the ball and defending multiple positions.
Keenan Garner Keenan Garner 6'6" | PF Fishers | 2024 State IN – Garner was the most energetic guy in the gym at the combine and very talkative and acted like a senior leader. For his size, he is just so fluid as a ball-handler and is starting to improve at scoring at all three levels. That motor is always on high too.
Nathan Baker – Baker is going to be a great front court piece for Fishers. He is a skilled big that has a smoothness to his game especially around the basket. Also showed to be a force on the defensive end too.
Justin Kirby – Kirby is going to be one of the biggest stock risers before his high school career comes to an end. While there is still a little bit of rawness to his game shooting-wise, the way he attacks the basket and uses his elite athletic ability to put down dunk after dunk is so impressive to watch. Keep an eye on this guy.
Taden Metzger – Metzger was knockdown like you often expect he will be. Looks to have improved his ability to create his shot on the ball while also being more aggressive on the drive. He will be a very consistent cog in the Fisher machine this season.
Logan Sigler Logan Sigler 6'5" | PF Fishers | 2025 State IN – Sigler is the under-the-radar player for this Tigers team. Overall looks to be a versatile forward that score both inside-and-out. Real strong baseline driver too.
