Our very first edition of the Illinois Class of 2026 Rankings has been released. We have evaluated these players in the fall prior to their freshman season at numerous camps, the high school season, the grassroots season, along with the June high school live periods. It is worth reminding that this is EXTREMELY early in the process. There will be players not on this list in the final top 10 and players in the top 10 that will end up significantly lower as they don't develop. This is an initial feel for the class with our top 50 prospects.

These are the top 2026 wing prospect stock risers in the state of Illinois!

[player_tooltip player_id='1552462' first='Mickeis' last='Johnson'] (Romeoville)

Overall Ranking: #18

Johnson has been on the radar of our staff for over a year and the strong two guard can really score it. Plus mid-range shooter that excels getting to his spots and elevating over others for buckets. Good body control at the rim and can be a quality wing defender when asked.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105396' first='Cameron' last='Mercer'] (Riverside Brookfield)

Overall Ranking: #26

Mercer is the son of former college and pro standout Ron Mercer. He caught our attention in June with RB with his smooth all-around game and ability to check multiple positions. Should be a major contributor for Riverside Brookfield this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552408' first='TJ' last='Williams'] (Glenbard West)

Overall Ranking: #27

Williams is another smooth two guard that can fill it up. Feathery three point shot and has the ability to defend multiple positions all ready. Expect him to make noise this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105399' first='Ahmad' last='Lee'] (Lincoln Park)

Overall Ranking: #29

This Lincoln Park shooting guard had a breakout performance when we saw him at the Grit Region Finals. Wiry wing that can add strength is a legit three level scorer and plus perimeter defender. Also showed he could be a connector as a passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105414' first='Sean' last='Lee'] (Decatur MacArthur)

Overall Ranking: #39

This 6'3” shooting guard had a big spring and summer on the PHC circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='2076253' first='Team' last='Illinois']. The power wing was best pounding the offensive glass and finishing out the dunker spot. Perimeter game will need to improve, but the tenacity and athleticism is there.
