We have evaluated these players in the fall prior to their freshman season at numerous camps, the high school season, the grassroots season, along with the June high school live periods. It is worth reminding that this is EXTREMELY early in the process. There will be players not on this list in the final top 10 and players in the top 10 that will end up significantly lower as they don’t develop. This is an initial feel for the class with our top 50 prospects.
These are the top 2026 point guards/combos in the state of Illinois!
Rajan Roberts Rajan Roberts 6'2" | PG Kenwood | 2026 State IL (Kenwood)
Overall Ranking: #3
Roberts narrowly edges out Clark for the top lead guard in the class as this could be a race we see going back and forth throughout their careers. Roberts played his freshman season at Proviso West and made the move over to Kenwood for his sophomore campaign. He was exceptional in the spring with his ability to score from all three levels with an elite pull up game and using his burst getting to the rim. Straight bucket getter that has some of the Damian Lillard type to his game.
Marquis Clark Marquis Clark 6'2" | PG Whitney Young | 2026 State IL (Whitney Young)
Overall Ranking: #4
Clark is an ultra smooth lead guard that took the reigns over for the Dolphins in June as the combo guard that can control the game with his pace, scoring, and passing. What we like most about the Dolphins guard is his ability to win off the bounce with smooth drives. He can score with ease getting where he wants off the dribble slicing through defenders. Very good layup maker that is improving as a shooter and showcased a very good passing feel especially in the open floor.
Rykan Woo Rykan Woo 6'1" | PG DePaul College Prep | 2026 State IL (Whitney Young)
Overall Ranking: #16
Another Dolphins point guard on the board here. Woo is more of a traditional lead guard that sets others up with his passing and distributing. Sees the game with his high basketball IQ making those around him better. Quick and shifty ball handler that wins off the bounce and has a good looking mid-range game. Microwave type scorer that is a sneaky athlete.
Adoni Vassilakis Adoni Vassilakis 6'0" | PG Marist | 2026 State IL (Marist)
Overall Ranking: #17
The Marist lead guard got significant minutes as a freshman. He is a heady floor general that makes those around him better while also being a plus three point shooter from distance and can hit holes in the defense for buckets.
Jayden Wright Jayden Wright 5'11" | PG Benet | 2026 State IL (Benet)
Overall Ranking: #21
Wright burst on our radar with a strong showing during the high school live periods. He made solid decisions with the ball as a passer while also looking to score when opportunities presented themselves. On a young reloaded Benet squad Wright is a key for how high their ceiling is this year and long term.
Rocco Pagliocca Rocco Pagliocca 6'1" | PG Stevenson | 2026 State IL (Stevenson)
Overall Ranking: #29
Pagliocca is an advanced lead guard with his feel for the game. He has the ability to see plays before they happen. Also is a sound perimeter shot maker that should be the next star guard at Stevenson.
