#76 – Isaac Feller Isaac Feller 6'0" | PG Bloomington Jefferson | 2027 State MN (Bloomington Jefferson): I was familiar with Isaac’s game headed into this event, but it was fun to watch him work as the number one scoring option on his team. His ability to make tough shots is well beyond his years, as I saw him knock down some super difficult looks off the dribble. He also had some fantastic takes to the basket, converting on a pair of and-ones. Feller is a dangerous scorer who can get hot very quickly.
#674 – Ray Brau Ray Brau 6'7" | PF Hibbing | 2027 State MN (Hibbing): Ray is another guy I saw play this past summer, playing up at the 15U level for Starks Elite . You could see that higher level of experience on display, being able to out-muscle opponents for rebounds and finishes at the rim. He is very good at reading shots when they come off the rim and could convert through multiple defenders at a time. Brau’s post skills are also very advanced, leaving defenders with no answer when he got the ball inside.
#32 – William McQuay (White Bear Lake): William was one of my favorite players to watch on Sunday and he was constantly impacting the game in a positive way for his team. He is an all-around scorer who I saw convert contested finishes around the basket, pull-up in the mid-range, and connect with looks from deep off the catch. McQuay brought great energy for his team and played with a level of intensity that I really admired.
#53 – Josiah Stephens (Osseo): Josiah did the majority of his work inside the three-point line, being able to make a difference in the paint and in the mid-range. He showed off his floater and smooth pull-up game when he got his opportunities to score and could run in transition for finishes. I also saw him clean up a teammates’ miss for a putback basket.
#197 – James Theuninck (Mahtomedi): I liked what James brought to the table offensively for his team, mixing in a little bit of facilitating with his scoring. He caused disruption with some steals that led to some easy uncontested layups for himself. He also showed that he could make the extra pass to turn a good shot into a great shot.
#144 – Jake Lis (Minnetonka): Jake provided some ball handling depth for this team, being able to put the ball on the floor to make some plays. He has a quick first step, showing the ability to blow right by his defender. He could also make some impressive passes off of drives.
#1 – Travon Perkins (Hopkins): Travon impressed me the most with his athleticism. He brought intensity on the defensive side of the ball, playing some tough on-ball defense on opponents. I also saw him run in transition for an easy finish at the basket off of an outlet pass from a teammate.
#139 – Levi Trout (Holy Family): Levi did not score a whole lot, but he impacted the game in a variety of ways to help his team. He hustled around, running up and down the floor, chasing down rebounds and loose balls when the opportunity arose. He also looked confident when handling the ball.
#16 – Lixon Forsberg (MCW): I really liked the way Lixon played. He never forced anything and played very unselfishly when the ball was in his hands. He created some opportunities with swing passes and outlet passes to get some chances started.
#122 – Gavin Carufel (River Falls): Gavin was always ready to get a look off from beyond the arc. He moved really well without the ball, sometimes causing confusion from the defense when switches needed to be made.
