After revealing my MVPs/top standouts, it’s time to kickstart positional breakdowns. Without any further ado, here’s my list of the top 2027 point guards to watch for.
1. Asher Gamble Asher Gamble 5'9" | PG Morgan County | 2027 State KY – PG – 2027 – Morgan County (KY)
At the top of my list of notable standouts is Asher Gamble Asher Gamble 5'9" | PG Morgan County | 2027 State KY , a 5-foot-10 point guard at Morgan County High School. What stands out most about Gamble is his electric speed in transition, his deceptive footwork and his ability to maneuver the court. Gamble also stood out with his contributions to strong passing, his reliable jumpshot along the perimeter and his ability to drive to the rim. Another aspect of Gamble’s playstyle that made a difference was his ability to disrupt passing on the other side of the floor with his awareness and well-balanced defensive effort.

2. Brody Little Brody Little 6'1" | CG Pikeville | 2027 State KY – PG – 2027 – Pikeville (KY)
I was additionally impressed with Brody Little Brody Little 6'1" | CG Pikeville | 2027 State KY , a 6-foot-1 point guard at Pikeville High School. On top of great versatility, I liked Little’s size, speed and ball control as he showed off his playmaking ability by pulling up for long-range jumpers as well as driving past defenders to the rim. Little’s well-balanced playstyle, composure and control in motion all played a role int his success on the court. I was also impressed with how Little made the most of every possession and collected a few rebounds.

3. Christian Roberts – PG – 2027 – Bob Jones (AL)
Another high-level prospect that caught my attention was Christian Roberts, a point guard at Bob Jones High School. Roberts made a considerable difference at the top of the key due to his solid size, speed and efficient shooting in the paint, proving he was a dangerous prospect to sleep on. Without question, the most significant aspect of Robert’s game was his quick decision-making and team contributions, proving his championship mentality and playstyle with his consistent passing and ability to collect rebounds on both sides of the floor. Roberts also caught my eye with his ability to set picks and create space for his teammates.

4. Keshawn Moore Keshawn Moore 5'8" | PG Todd County Central | 2027 State KY – PG – 2027 – Todd County (KY)
Another high-level prospect that caught my attention was Keshawn Moore Keshawn Moore 5'8" | PG Todd County Central | 2027 State KY , a 5-foot-8 point guard at Todd County Central High School. In addition to outstanding versatility and a dangerous jump shot, what made Moore so explosive was his quickness in transition as well as his durable edge, outlasting pressure with his solid control and durability. Moore’s calculated passing and ability to outplay defenders underneath the rim also stood out as he punished the defense with his reverse layup On the other side of the court, Moore displayed excellent defensive aggression and awareness.
5. Lake Adkins Lake Adkins 6'2" | PG Elliott County | 2027 State KY – PG – 2027 – Elliott County (KY)
Coming in at number five on my list of top performers is Lake Adkins Lake Adkins 6'2" | PG Elliott County | 2027 State KY , a 6-foot-2 point guard at Elliott County High School. On top of great aggresssion on both sides of the court, I was impressed with Adkins because of his significant size, speed, ball control, footwork and his physical edge. Adkins made his presence known with his quickness in transition as well as his strong shooting from all over the floor. Adkins additionally showcased efficient passing and was a relentless offensive machine underneath the rim with his toughness, blasting past the defense for layups.
