The 2027 class rankings are still in the works and the showcase should give us a decent idea of where some of these players stand. With that in mind, here are a few names already on our radar that will be in attendance:
There is Jayden Hunt from Lake Washington who really impressed with Friends of Hoop this summer. We have a couple of standout guards who played with Spokane Elite this summer (Cameron Walls/Central Valley and Karson Maze Karson Maze 5'10" | PG Mead | 2027 State WA /Mead) making the trek from the Eastside.
There’s a trio of Bellevue Christian freshmen high on our list, Rhett Huber, Edison Kan Edison Kan 6'2" | PG Glacier Peak | 2027 State WA , and Drake Penberthy. James Morgan Jr. of Black Hills caught our eye at the West Coast Clash while playing for Oly Basketball Academy and will be in attendance.
Some summer league standouts include Micah Ill-Meneese from Renton, Xavier Gatlin from Lakeside and Achilles Reyna from Eastside Catholic. There are a couple of Seattle Rotary guards we’ve heard a lot about (Ronnie Wiggins/Bellarmine Prep, Jimmie “Tripp” Haywood III/Bellevue). And finally, there’s Payton Brown Payton Brown 5'11" | PG Muckleshoot | 2027 State WA from Muckleshoot Tribal School who should turn a few heads at the showcase.
A full list of attendees can be found here.
The event should start at 3 p.m. and run until 8 p.m. at the Hidden Valley Fieldhouse in Bellevue. Each player will receive headshots followed by a quick speech from the event director. Then we have eight teams splitting up to play some live 5 on 5 games.
College coaches and Prep Hoops scouts will be in attendance. Check out our scouts’ Twitter pages to follow along with live tweets (@remohoops) while write-ups with standouts and breakdowns will come out in the days following the event.
It is free to attend and will also be live-streamed and available on-demand on BallerTV.
