This year was no different as new names emerged and top prospects battled it out. Here, I’ll break down a few players that scored in bunches on Sunday.
Ben Howery proved to be one of the most well-rounded scorers at Sunday’s camp, hitting shots from various levels but also pressuring the rim constantly as a ball-handler. Howery has a strong handle and was able to break down most defenders off the bounce. He showed some impressive control when finishing at the rim, his strength and athleticism helping him there as well. Look for Howery to make a splash at Galloway in coming years.
Braydon Langston Braydon Langston 6’5″ | SF East Hall | 2027 State GA caught they eye of many in attendance, coupling a high motor with some intriguing physical tools and a skillset that looks to be coming along nicely. Langston is extremely versatile, capable of guarding multiple positions and affecting the game from multiple spots on the floor. He played some excellent defense on Saturday in addition to his high scoring numbers. I expect Langston could see the floor sooner than later at East Hall.

Justin Wise Justin Wise 6’3″ | CG North Oconee | 2027 State GA was clearly one of the most gifted bucket-getters in attendance, finding his fair share of points while sticking to open looks and shooting an efficient percentage from the field. Anytime Wise had a foot or two of space, he was going to let it fly and more often than not, it found the bottom of the net. Wise continues to reveal new parts of his scoring repertoire with each showing and I’m excited to follow him through his first high school season with North Oconee.

Mentioned yesterday in our Future Star Watch, Cameron Cannon Cameron Cannon 5’10” | PG Lovett | 2027 State GA makes another appearance in our Volume Scorers section after pouring in the points on Sunday. Cannon shoots the three-ball at a high clip and did a lot of that but I was even more impressed by his natural scoring instincts, able to anticipate the defensive movements and punish them in a variety of ways. He’s got quick hands defensively and racked up a ton of transition points off of turnovers too.

ETG was well represented on Sunday night, sending 5 players that all made strong impressions. Ethan Baek Ethan Baek 6’2″ | SG Lambert | 2027 State GA left his mark all over each game, often carrying the scoring load for his team while making significant contributions on the defensive end too. Baek has a nose for the ball and a high motor which makes him very impactful even when he’s not hitting shots. The next step for Baek is tightening his handle up but he already excels in parts of the game that you can’t teach.
