I will be posting evaluations based on what I observed from every team that participated in the DMV Freshman Showcase. Here is a look at those who played on Team 4.

Derrick Hazelwood Jr. | Alexander (GA)

Hazelwood is a lefty guard whose calling card at the event was stingy on-ball defense. He was never afraid to stick his nose into a crowd in order to win a 50/50 ball.

Dhruv Iyer | Mt. Zion (MD)

Iyer showcased a myriad of finishes in the lane. The 5'11" guard had one of the more diverse finishing packages that I saw in the gym on Sunday.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353588' first='Johnsen' last='Kennedy'] | Archbishop Carroll (DC)

Kennedy was an impact player on both ends of the floor for his team. The 5'7" guard was a flat-out menace defensively. Kennedy read the passing lanes like a book and quickly turned defense into offense.

Alejandro San Martin | Forest Park (VA)

San Martin is a good team player who understands floor spacing. He filled the lanes correctly in transition and routinely found the open spots in the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548898' first='Dwight' last='Strickland'] | St. Mary's Ryken (MD)

Strickland is a big guard who brings plenty of versatility to the table. He is a grab-and-go threat who excels at pushing the ball in transition and making plays.

Brady Walsh | Bullis (MD)

Walsh is a lead guard prospect who can dribble, pass, and shoot. I liked his tempo with the ball and how he changed speeds to keep foes off balance. I also noticed how hard Walsh worked defensively, which was commendable.

[player_tooltip player_id='2137166' first='Nasir' last='Wilson'] | DeMatha (MD)

Wilson proved that he is effective at making shots with his feet set. I liked how well-balanced he is while shooting and how he doesn't just rely on his upper body.
