To prepare for the season in the coming months, I will be dropping some City Rankings and ranking players in the area their school resides in. Here is Whatcom County’s top underclassman, meaning only players in the 2026 and 2027 classes.
Boyce is a player who will see the court more in his sophomore campaign due to the 2023 class graduating for the Lyncs. He has a stellar crossover move and gets to the rim smoothly. He runs the court well in transition, being able to finish around and through traffic. Robertson can mov well without the ball in his hands and finds his spots nicely.
Cole Burke
Cole Burke
Cole is a player who can play inside or outside, stretching the floor nicely. He has great vision and can find his open teammates when he works out of the high-post. He runs the court in transition extremely well, being able to push the ball quickly. Burke is effective around the rim when finishing around defenders but can also step out to hit the outside shot.

Dyson is a player who already has a full year of varsity experience under his belt, having played his 8th grade year. During the summer he looked as if his game grew a tremendous amount. He is able to defend the ball well, staying in front of his defenders. He hits the three ball very well, especially off the catch and shoot. He is just getting started and should see a growth in his game on the court.
Cole Turrell
Cole Turrell
Cole is a big body player who is a force down low in the paint on both sides of the ball. He defends the paint extremely well, being aggressive and hard to finish around. Turrell is dominant on the boards, bodying anyone who is in his way. Offensively he is patient and knows which shots are the ones he should be taking.

Quincy is a player who I’m excited to come into the high school level. He may not get much varsity playing time as a freshman, but has the abilities to be a very key player on this Mariners team. Tanovan is an excellent three point shooter and can create space with or without the ball very well. He is difficult to guard due to his speed and the fact he is always on the move.
