Demuynck was voted MVP for this event. The long 6’9 bouncy forward has moved the needle in his progress. We saw the bouncy forward go after blocks, run the court looking for dunks and put back dunks, he got lobs and two handed dunks in the post cutting, using length, and quick jumps. He has put together a skill set that shows his progress shooting paint and mid-range jumpers. He’s shooting 3’s and using his dribble on the perimeter.
He’s a point guard looking more like a scoring guard, that makes him a solid combo. He’s looking stronger, playing with energy, and passion. He showed his handles, and ability to attack the paint from different angles, he handled the contact. He’s knocking down 3’s in the corner on the catch. He got multiple rebounds, used his vision, and passing to get multiple assist in transition. He can lock in on the defensive side.
Highlights
He’s one of NorCal’s top prospects who doesn’t get a lot of coverage. We’ve seen him in events like this, and with his club team. He’s 6’8 with a filling frame, and has the skill set to be productive from any area on the court. He can handle, pass, and shoot with range. He rebounds, and give good effort on the defensive side of the ball.
Widemon was one of the more productive prospects at this event. In the 3 games we saw, his speed, and confidence was on display. He has the handles, and moves to create shot opportunities for himself and others, he’s a willing passer always looking to put pressure on the defense by attacking and or looking for his shot. He knocked down multiple 3’s in the top 24 game. He has foot speed and lengthy arms to disrupt on defense.

It was our first look at the 6’8 forward from Mission Prep. He’s an active prospect who makes his presence known on the court. He goes hard and finishes strong attacking the rim in transition including dunks. He has the size touch around the rim to get his points in the paint, along with rebounds. He can drop 3’s from the corners, top, and along the perimeter. He’ll use his dribble to attack along the base line, and hit the paint jumper.
