Widemon a confident guard with a good set of handles, and passing to create shots on the move for himself and others. He has good speed getting up the court running or dribbling. He’ll pull-up for transition 3’s in rhythm, use his handle to attack the paint. He can play on both ends at a good pace. He’s a conditioned athlete.

After a bit of a slow start in his first game, he became an active guard on the court. He got it going by knocking down 3’s from the corners, and coming down in transition. He got a few rebounds, went coast to coast once, and found his teammates running the court in transition for assists. He found his bigs cutting to the basket. He’s a guard with a quick first step, you throw in a ball fake, and it’s hard to keep him out of the paint for jumpers, and floaters. He’s a confident and conditioned athlete.

Widemon was one of the more productive prospects at this event. In the 3 games we saw, his speed, and confidence was on display. He has the handles, and moves to create shot opportunities for himself and others, he’s a willing passer always looking to put pressure on the defense by attacking and or looking for his shot. He knocked down multiple 3’s in the top 24 game. He has foot speed and lengthy arms to disrupt on defense.

Widemon comes off the watch list, and has a chance to make a name for himself this season on the varsity at Modesto Christian. He has good foot speed, lengthy arms and can be a disruptor on defense if he locks in. He’s a guard with good handles and moves to generate his scoring opportunities, he has 3pt range and can drop a few when he gets it going.
