Steverson brings a combination of strength and shotmaking touch, capable of being a threat in and out of the arc. The 6’4 shooting guard has begun to pick up momentum, recently garnering an offer from the Alamosa based Division II program, Adams State. Steverson is notably strong while attacking downhill, capable of bullying opponents to rim for ambidextrous finishes. If opponents wall off the lane, the guard is a capable shooter under a variety of circumstances. Either getting to shots off the catch or flowing into pull-up jumpers, the guard has upside as a prolific scoring threat. Defensively, the guard can match up against 2s and 3s, capable of taking bumps from bigger wings while retaining a proactive position.
Dylan Chavez Dylan Chavez 6'5" | SG La Cueva | 2024 State #268 Nation NM – ABC Prep
Chavez is a big wing who stands right around 6’6, highly efficient as a spot-up shooter along the perimeter. The two guard is an especially consistent shooter from the corners, capable letting it fly through a contest thanks to his high release and positional size. Chavez is even capable of letting the rock fly multiple feet out behind the arc, having no trouble getting enough power from distance. The guard is capable of attacking closeouts should the opponent approach out of control, capable of ripping past the closeout for spin moves around the rim. He shows excellent footwork on turnaround finishes, staying on-balance, ready for contact.
Marquise Renfro Marquise Renfro 6'0" | SG Atrisco Heritage | 2024 State NM – Atrisco Heritage
Renfro is an athletic scoring guard who can change speeds on a dime. At roughly 6′ tall, the guard has a quick first step, capable of granting him the driving lane off a single move. If opponents are prepared for the initial move, Renfro is capable of breaking down opponents with crossovers and between moves to leverage opponent positioning. While attacking the rim, Renfro is physical, capable of taking bumps mid-air before readjusting for the difficult finish. On either end of the floor, his vertical leap makes him an impactful rebounder, getting up higher than plenty of opposing guards. There is no doubt Renfro can be an effective perimeter defender against 1s and smaller 2s, not only quick but strong enough to dig into their hips to force difficult shot attempts.
Lukas Turner Lukas Turner 6'2" | SG Santa Fe | 2024 State NM – Santa Fe
Turner is an active defender and shotmaker, bringing value as a transition playmaker. The incoming senior guard is a capable shooter off the catch, possessing a quick release to get it off before the contest arrives. The guard is a low stance, ready for those shot attempts off the catch. Defensively, Turner is an active defender off the ball, acutely aware of potential passing lanes. He does a great job of getting a hand up to deflect passes, often the recipient of fast break outlets or coast to coast finishes.
Jonathan Lukesh – Albuqurque
The scoring guard is a knockdown shooter from beyond the arc alongside capabilities as a physical scorer versus contact. The 5’10 incoming senior is a very quick player in the fullcourt, capable of getting from basket to basket in the blink of an eye. While attacking the rim, Lukesh is adept at taking contact, scoring through readjustments with soft touch. Off the ball, the guard is a knockdown shooter, either coming off the catch or following a fake stepping into the three pointer.
