10. Peter Moye Peter Moye 6'3" | SG South Mecklenburg | 2024 State NC – 6’3 – South Mecklenburg
Moye is an emerging shooting guard that continues to emerge and looks poised to lead a talented South Mecklenburg group this upcoming season. He put up 20.2 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 3.0 APG and 1.3 SPG in their backcourt as a junior and looks to do more damage with some talent around him in 2023-24. He’s a prospect that’s got a nice feel for when to make the right play as an attacker off the bounce and shooter off the catch. Shaw University has offered him and other DII programs would be wise to get eyes on him.
9. Santana Lynch Santana Lynch 6'4" | SG Lake Norman | 2024 State NC – 6’4 – Lake Norman High
Lynch will look to break out during his senior season now that he’ll emerge into a starting role after posting 6.8 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 2.0 APG and 1.2 SPG in 2022-23. He’ll be a new face for Lake Norman High this season looking to play a much bigger role in the backcourt and on the wing. He’s a much more aggressive threat as a passer and scorer given his skill set. He’s more than just a shooter as well, given his assist production from a season ago. He holds an offer from Campbell University so far.
8. Brandon Callahan Brandon Callahan 6'3" | SG Millbrook | 2024 NC – 6’3 – Millbrook High
Callahan makes a splash in the Top 10 at No. 8 in the overall ranking of shooting guard prospects in the 2024 class. He was the fourth leading scorer for Millbrook High this past season with 9.7 PPG, 1.8 RPG, 1.3 SPG and 1.1 APG on 42 percent shooting from deep across 10 appearances. He got a late start to his high school season in 2022-23 but with a full season under his belt, look for him to make a lot more noise on the wing for the Wildcats. DI and DII programs would be wise to get eyes on him this season.
7. Bryson Cokley Bryson Cokley 6'5" | SG Christ School | 2024 State NC – 6’5 – Christ School
Cokley is an underrated name in North Carolina out of Christ School that checks in at No. 7 among shooting guards in the class. He finished up with 9.6 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 1.8 APG and 1.0 SPG on 38 percent shooting from deep and 46 percent from the floor in their quest to a state title. He’s a recent de-commit from Wake Forest but remains a hot commodity on the recruiting trail given his prowess for knocking down shots and finishing around the rim. Look for his stock to continue rising as he finishes his final high school ball season. Northern Illinois is his newest offer.
6. Jullien Cole Jullien Cole 6'4" | SF Shiloh | 2024 State GA – 6’4 – Richmond County Senior
Jullien Cole Jullien Cole 6'4" | SF Shiloh | 2024 State GA continues to climb up the PH radar out of the 910 area’s Richmond County Senior High. He’s due for an encore performance following a strong outing in 2022-23 as they marched all the way to the NCHSAA 4A State Final this past season. He’s an explosive shooting guard that’s shown he can knock down shots on the perimeter and finish around the rim equally. He produced 16.9 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 2.6 APG and 2.6 SPG on 42 percent shooting from behind the arc and 49 percent shooting from the field. He’s an energetic scorer out of the backcourt that DI programs in the region need to get on the recruiting boards.
5. Felipe Patino Felipe Patino 6'4" | SG Winston-Salem Christian | 2024 State NC – 6’4 – Winston-Salem Christian School
Patino checks in as the No. 5 shooting guard in the 2024 class heading into his final season. He’s an impressive sharpshooter with range that can get going in a hurry when he’s on the hardwood. He’ll have a few different weapons to work off of on the national scene with Isaiah Washington Isaiah Washington 6'5" | SG Winston-Salem Christian | 2024 State NC , Kany Tchanda Kany Tchanda 6'9" | C Sunrise Christian Academy | 2024 #295 Nation NC , Chol Machot Chol Machot 7'0" | C Winston-Salem Christian | 2024 State NC and Lewis Walker Lewis Walker 6'6" | PF Winston-Salem Christian | 2024 State #178 Nation NC in the rotation as well. He’s an underrated MM/LM name for DI programs given his perimeter shooting ability and ability to get others involved out of the backcourt.
4. Paul McNeil – 6’7 – Word of God Christian Academy
McNeil continues to remain steady among the top shooters in the 2024 class, coming in at No. 4 on the list. He’s easily one of the top shooters in the state and will soon bolster the NC State Wolfpack’s backcourt in the ACC once his high school career finishes up. He put up 24.0 PPG, 8.7 RPG, 4.2 APG, 2.2 SPG and 1.1 BPG on 53 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent shooting from deep in 2022-23. He’s set to have a strong season on the OTE stage with Word of God to close things out.
3. Jayden Harris Jayden Harris 6'6" | SG Salisbury | 2024 State #220 Nation NC – 6’6 – Salisbury High School
Harris is another familiar face in the 2024 rankings, checking in at No. 3 on the top shooting guards in the state. He’s an impressive presence on any wing given his ability to score in bunches in a variety of ways. He can get to the rim, he can finish in traffic and he can knock down shots on the perimeter. He’s another top shooting guard in the state of North Carolina headed to the ACC. He’ll suit up for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons once his high school season wraps up in 2024.
2. Austin Swartz Austin Swartz 6'5" | SG Cannon | 2024 State #40 Nation NC – 6’4 – Cannon School
Swartz a name that’s really grown on a national scale this past grassroots cycle with Boo Williams on the EYBL stage. He had quite the EYBL season as he led his squad to an appearance at Peach Jam to the tune of 21.0 PPG, 3.4 RPG and 1.7 APG on 37.2 percent shooting from deep and 44.3 percent from the floor. He’s an electric scorer that can score with and without the ball in his hands on the perimeter. He’s got visits planned for Georgia, UConn, Miami, Indiana, Florida State, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame as his final season of high school ball approaches. He’s a HM target for good reason and the No. 2 in the 2024 class heading into 2023-24.
1. Isaiah Evans Isaiah Evans 6'6" | SG North Mecklenburg | 2024 State #17 Nation NC – 6’6 – North Mecklenburg High
Evans is the top shooting guard in North Carolina’s 2024 class heading into the 2023-24 season. He had a number of impressive performances this past season as North Mecklenburg High made a run to the Final Four of the 4A NCHSAA State Playoffs before falling to Myers Park High. He knocked down 101 3-pointers as a junior for the Vikings. Look for him to do more damage in the Charlotte area as he plays with a chip on his shoulder and looking for redemption in the Queen City Conference. He’s another shooting guard in the class heading to the ACC as he’s committed to the Duke Blue Devils and head coach John Scheyer.
