Ashton Dillon Ashton Dillon 6’2″ | PG Veritas Christian Academy | 2024 State NC is a 2024 sharpshooting prospect to get eyes on in the Western NC region out of Veritas Christian Academy. He’s a shifty lefty guard that knows how to compete with his ability to navigate the backcourt and make things happen with his 6-foot-2 frame. He’s shown he can do a whole lot more than score the ball when given opportunities and is a lot more than a shooting guard prospect for DII programs in the region to get eyes on.

Alex Rechetnikov Alex Rechetnikov 6’4″ | SG Southern Wake Academy | 2024 State NC is an underrated shooting guard prospect to get to know after having a solid outing in the UpNext Hoops backcourt as their primary scorer. He’s slowly starting to find his confidence as a perimeter presence and downhill scoring threat with a big senior season ahead of him while joining the Southern Wake Academy rotation. He’s an intriguing guard prospect that can knock down shots in rhythm and score tough buckets in traffic at the off-guard spot. As he finds his swagger defensively, look for DII and DIII programs to start taking interest in him.

Jai Williams Jai Williams 6’3″ | SG Wayne Country Day | 2024 State NC is an impressive shooting guard prospect set to lead the way in 2023-24 for Wayne Country Day School. He’s an instant-offense prospect that’s capable of knocking down shots off the bounce and getting to the paint and making things happen in traffic with efficiency. As he learns to make his presence felt on the defensive end, look for DII and DIII programs in the region to start taking interest. He’s an athletic combo guard that’s capable of handling the ball offensively and keeping the offense in good shape with his prowess as a scorer and playmaker.

Derrick Benbow Jr Derrick Benbow Jr 6’3″ | CG White Oak | 2024 State NC . is an another emerging 6-foot-3 guard to get to know in the 2024 class out of Living Water Christian School. He’s a relentless driver with the ball in his hands and exhibits impressive toughness using his frame to make things happen around the painted area. As he shows off his variety to score and ability to get others involved in 2023-24, look for DII and DIII programs in the region to take notice of him on the recruiting scene. He produced 18.7ppg, 3.6apg, 2.9rpg and 1.3spg as a junior. Utica University has offered him.

Lleyton Thomas-Johnson Lleyton Thomas-Johnson 6’4″ | SG Christ School | 2024 State NC is another prospect in the Christ School rotation worthy of attention as he returns looking to have a strong senior campaign. He’s a 6-foot-5 prospect that can operate on the wing as a downhill threat and perimeter presence with his ability to knock down shots at volume and finish with authority at the rim. He’s an underrated name for DI and DII programs in need of a gritty two-way guard/wing presence.

Jaylon Bumpass Jaylon Bumpass 6’2″ | CG Ben L. Smith | 2024 State NC is another 2024 prospect inside the Top 100 worth a look by DI and DII programs in the region out of Ben L. Smith High. He’s set to lead quite a talented bunch with his underrated athleticism and ability to knock down shots in a variety of ways with his shifty ball-handling skills. He’s due for a strong senior campaign after producing 13.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 2.9 apg and 1.4 spg as a junior at Grimsley High. As a new face at Ben L. Smith, he’s certainly ready to take the lead guard role heading into his senior season.
