There were 18 15U teams that participated in the event and these are the top five players from the event. Lets find out who the dominant players were.
Cooper Nelson Cooper Nelson 5’11” | PG Sterlington | 2026 State LA is a guard that stands at 5’9 from Louisiana. He is ranked at #14 for his state and showed why at the event. He is a player that plays with heart and grit, to go along with skill and an endless motor. On offense, he would drive the gaps and when the defense would collapse, he would kick to an open shooter. If the defense did not collapse, he would score at the rim. Contact did not slow him down, as he consistently finished through it. He showed the ability and focus to finish with and-ones, as I watched him do it multiple times over the three games I saw him play. Whenever he was not driving to the basket, he was keeping the defense on their toes with a reliable jump shot. On defense, he made just as big of an impact. He came away with several steals and played great on-ball and perimeter defense. He harassed the defense more than just about any player on the court. Whenever there was a loose ball, he was diving or hustling for it. He helped lead his team to a 3-1 record, with their only loss being to a team that went 4-0. If he continues to grow, he has a chance to excel at the next level. He is some one that college coaches should be looking at already.
Israel Fugett
Israel Fugett
Israel Fugett is someone that dominates every time that I have seen him play. He was all-tournament third team a couple of months ago at the event I scouted him at, but he has worked his way up to first team now. He has great size and athleticism for his age, which helped him dominate the glass more than any other player, averaging around 14-15 rebounds per game. He grabbed several offensive rebounds and constantly would tuhem into second chance points. Even when he would not be scoring from second chance points, he was able to get position to score inside the paint by shooting over the opposition. He had a couple of assists each game, as well. On defense, he absolutely dominated. He came away with several blocks each game. Over the two games that I saw him play, I am speculating that he had around four-five blocks per game. To go along with that, he came away with multiple steals. Over the two games, he averaged 1.5 steals per game. His impact went beyond this, as he had one great contest after another and forced quite a few misses. His help defense was very good and his overall defense was amazing. Opponents had trouble scoring in the paint when he was anywhere near the area. He made an impact in all three areas of the game, which helped his team go 4-0 through the showcase. They had the second biggest win margin per game, as they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points.
Jarmile Robinson lived up to his nickname, “Money.” I saw him in two games and he was exactly that. The first game he had 18 points at halftime and finished the game with 26. The second game, he started off slow but picked it up, finishing with around 18 points. His impact and how he scored the ball was impressive. He would drive to the basket aggressively and finish through contact. When the defense would play off of him, he would knock down a three or catch them on their heels by pulling up from mid-range. He was showing the ability to be a three-level scorer and showed why he is ranked as the #34 player in the class of 2026 in Oklahoma, despite only being 5’8. He was not afraid to find the open man on a drive and kick, for his team to get a better look. On defense, he played aggressively and was forcing steals and turnovers. He grabbed a rebound here and there but his ability to impact the game offensively is why he is on this list.
Kohen Warden
Kohen Warden
Kohen Warden impacted the game in several ways, enforcing dominance as his team went 4-0. All three games that I saw him in, he showed off a nice shooting stroke, knocking down multiple threes in each game. He showed the ability to catch fire and knock down one three after another, hitting three straight threes against a good team that was 3-0 at the time. One of these threes consisted of him hitting a three while getting knocked to the ground. He went on a made the free throw to complete the and-one play. His game expanded beyond the threes that he made, as he was hitting turnaround jumpers from mid-range. He scored inside some, but his jumpshot is his bread and butter. To go along with his shooting, he rebounded the ball well, grabbing mostly defensive rebounds with an occasional offensive rebound. His game expands beyond those two areas, as his defense is good. He played solid on-ball defense, coming away with a block and a steal in one game. He had blocks in the other games, as well. It was an impressive performance by him in this one, as he lead his team to a 4-0 record.
Aidon Siquerios
Aidon Siquerios
Aidon Siquerios was flat out impressive, playing on a team that went 3-1. I watched the game that they lost and he put on arguably the best performance that I saw during the whole event. He looked like the best passing big man and one of the best passers that I have seen for 15U. He was doing no look passes consistently for assists. There was one play that he threw an over the head no look pass to a cutter for an assist. On a different play, he placed a no look bounce pass in traffic perfectly in the pocket of the cutter for an assist. He was showing the ability to effortlessly throw passes perfectly down the court. His impact went beyond his passing, as he regularly grabbed rebounds. These resulted in second chance points with him scoring or assisting a lot of the time. That is not the only way he scored, as he got positioning and would score inside, utilizing his height and size advantage. On defense, he came away with a couple of blocks during the game and was providing good help defense. He finished the game with a near triple-double. I do not know his exact stats, but I am guessing it was like 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists. He was flat out impressive in this game and was the reason his team almost won that game.
