Today, we will continue to evaluate some highly explosive prospects in the class of 2024 that are preparing to raise their stock during their senior campaigns this upcoming season. After breaking down some intriguing shooting guards, it’s time to move onto another group of talented players in a new position. Without any further ado, here’s my list of some 2024 shooting forwards in the state of Kentucky to watch out for.
Highlights
At the top of my list of talented prospects is Nolan Wahl Nolan Wahl 6'6" | SF Christian Academy Of Louisville | 2024 State KY , a 6-foot-6 shooting forward at the Christian Academy of Louisville. Wahl made his presence known on both sides of the court during his junior stint of high school basketball last year. In 31 contests, Wahl was one of the strongest scoring weapons and the top rebounder on the team, collecting a grand total of 236 points and 159 rebounds, averaging 7.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. The rising senior out of Louisville, KY. additionally shot 54.8% (91-166) from field goal range, 34.5% (10-29) from the three-point line and 73.3% (44-60) from the free throw line. What stands out about Wahl is his size, speed and wing span, utilizing his height and physical playstyle to overwhelm opposition in the paint and underneath the rim.

Claiming the number two spot on my list is Hayden Harris Hayden Harris 6'7" | SF Clay County | 2024 State KY , a 6-foot-7 shooting forward at Clay County High School. Harris was one of the most significant players on the Tigers’ roster during his junior season of high school basketball last year. In 30 games, Harris was the best scorer and the third-best rebounder on the team, recording a total of 553 points and 195 rebounds, averaging 18.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. The rising senior out of Manchester, KY. additionally shot 41.2% (188-456) from the field, 29.1% (50-172) from beyond the arc and 69.0% (127-184) from the free throw line. In addition to size and speed, Harris impresses with his explosiveness in transition, pin-point accuracy from around the perimeter and his ability to get to the rim.

Morrison made an explosive impact on both sides of the floor for the Colonels during his junior stint of high school basketball last year. In 32 contests, Morrison was the second-strongest scoring machine and one of the stronger rebounders on the roster, picking up a total of 363 points and 105 rebounds, averaging 11.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. The rising senior out of Hopkinsville, KY. additionally shot 50.4% (128-254) from field goal range, 36.0% (27-75) from range and 74.1% (80-108) from the free throw line. There’s a lot to like about Morrison, including his size, speed, consistent rebounding and ability to contribute to the boards regardless of where he’s positioned on the court.

Edwards was one of the most efficient and reliable weapons on the Bearcats’ roster during his junior season of high school basketball last year. In 28 games, Edwards was the second-best scorer and the top rebounder on the team, recording a grand total of 316 points and 159 rebounds, averaging 11.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. The rising senior out of Louisville, KY. additionally shot 58.7% (121-206) from the field, 25.0% (5-20) from beyond the arc and 66.3% (69-104) from the free throw line. In addition to outstanding size and speed, what makes Edwards such a gamechanger is his solid footwork, ball control and scoring effort. His well-balanced playstyle also caught my eye as he focuses on contributing to the team.

Worley was a highly explosive contributor for the Redhounds during his junior stint of high school basketball last year. In 31 contests, Worley was one of the strongest shooters as well as the second best rebounder on the team, collecting a total of 255 points and 165 rebounds, averaging 8.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. The rising senior out of Corbin, KY. additionally shot 65.5% (110-168) from field goal range, 50.0% (9-18) from three-point range and 59.1% (26-44) from the free throw line. Worley impresses me with his size, speed and physical playstyle on both sides of the floor, utilizing his toughness to muscle his way to the rim, grab rebounds and contain his opponents on the other side.
