Saturday July 1st I attended the West Coast Elite/Hoopers On1y Summer Tip-Off at the Phhacility in Phx, AZ.

I mainly focused my attention on 17U Gold Division and 15U Boys.

Here were some of the 2025's that stood out:

[player_tooltip player_id='996176' first='Bryce' last='Quinet'] Notre Dame Prep (AZ Select 17 UAA) (Pictured)

A scoring lead guard's IQ is off the charts. He has range from the parking lot and gets it off his hands so quickly. He has a sneaky quick burst but his ability to change speeds gives him the separation. He uses his sturdy frame to score inside with either hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='1305187' first='Dewayne' last='Haygood'] Casa Grande (Valley Vipers 17)

A long forward with decent size. He is skilled and plays some inside and out. He cuts when he should, shoots it from mid to the three point line and will bang inside. His sweet spot is his elbow jumper and plays taller than his height suggests with long arms. Stock up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1371094' first='Quincy' last='Kirk'] Canyon View (Team RHJ 17)

A scoring lead guard is back in the fold after a year off from the transfer rule. He has plus size for posiiton and plays at a good pace to his game. He can score getting to the basket with a nice handle and using his size plus can pull-up from mid to the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='1162451' first='Jayce' last='McGuirk'] Phhoenix Prep (AZ Select 16 UAA)

A decent sized combo guard has grown in height and strength. He has become more athletic in his upper body which makes it easier for him to get to the basket but he is definitely on the floor for his shooting. The lefty has a strap. He is one of the most consistent standstill three point shooters in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1333492' first='Michael' last='Simcoe'] Sandra Day O'Connor (AZ Select 17 UAA)

The all-around forward was playing up and fitting in like a glove. His IQ, strength and skill pops off the page. He can touch pass to teammates and has a pretty stroke beyond the three point line. He will catch lob dunks and rebound everything in his area and block shots in and out of his area. He moves well in space on defense and looks to be a very good addition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1607055' first='Braden' last='Moore'] Phhoenix Prep (AZ Select 16 UAA)

A pure point guard who makes it easy to play with. He has a stronger upper body and can now step back off the dribble. His thicker upper body allows him to score thru contact and he will also hit the catch three with deep range. He is definitely working on his jumper and has extended his range.

[player_tooltip player_id='1135514' first='Treyvion' last='Curry'] Phhoenix Prep (AZ Select 16 UAA)

A defensive ball hawk is a true combo guard. He can hit the deep three, step back off the dribble, get to the basket with his next level athleticism, rebound out of the area with a huge motor and he also made a few impressive passes. He defends on the ball with elite lateral quickness showing his whole game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285990' first='EJ' last='Sommers'] Phhoenix Prep (AZ Select 16 UAA)

A defensive minded post player who moves well in space and will defend in the post. He will block shots and is a high level rebounder. He can score inside on put back, dunks, runners and step out and hit the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='1306046' first='Alexander' last='Werner'] Phhoenix Prep (AZ Select 16 UAA)

A two-way forward with an incredible motor to rebound, run the floor and score thru contact. He is a very efficient scorer around the hoop. He leaps up with his long arms and toughness and fights everyone for position regardless of size. He is the true glue guy for the Under Armour team doing whatever it takes to win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150847' first='Carlos' last='Coronado Jr'] Phhoenix Prep (AZ Select 16 UAA)

A bigger pure point guard seems to keep growing in size and bounce. He throws it down easily and is very quick on the ball defensively. He changes speeds and gets to the rim with a burst. He has deep range from well beyond the stripe and will consistently touch the paint and throw the dime to a teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1286023' first='Ryan' last='Burbach'] Brophy Prep (AZ Select 16 UAA)

A sniper with range. He gets it out of his hands quickly and lets it fly. He squares up flawlessly and has good size. He uses his long arms and size to rebound and moves the ball as he is not hunting shots. His size and length affects the passing lanes to collects steals. He gets hot quicker then most in the state as he rattled in six in one game.

Saturday July 1st I attended the West Coast Elite/Hoopers On1y Summer Tip-Off at the Phhacility in Phx, AZ.
