Top 10 notes
#1 Ahmad Nowell Ahmad Nowell 6'0" | PG Imhotep Charter | 2024 State #36 Nation PA is the new number one in the PA 2024 rankings. As a connector and secondary creator for Team Final and with Imhotep having lost Justin Edwards and Rahmir Barno to graduation, Nowell is finally cutting his teeth as the top option for the Panthers. Even though he experienced some growing pains during the live period, he still played relentless defense and led Tep in points. More importantly, he’s finding the balance between playmaking and the tough shot-making we’ve grown accustomed to from him. Development isn’t linear. So his journey will be one to watch as he finishes out the summer then enters his senior year.
#2 Jalil Bethea Jalil Bethea 6'4" | SG Archbishop Wood | 2024 State #5 Nation PA continues incredible run since the end of the high school season. Comfortably the best movement shooter in the 2024 class, Bethea has become a legit primary advantage creator off-the-bounce. His improved ability to manipulate defenses with such a high usage and will his team to victory is drawing him acclaim from around the country. He’s now a consensus Top 20 recruit.
#6 Touari “Deuce” Ketner can be one of the best players on any court he steps on and now he’s proving it on both his high school and AAU teams. His versatile, two-way ability was invaluable. Deuce defended wings and bigs while providing scoring by playing off of others and situationally creating for himself. Ketner is slowly but surely proving he deserves a top 10 spot.
#8 Thomas Sorber Thomas Sorber 6'9" | C Archbishop Ryan | 2024 State #58 Nation PA , after anchoring Team Final ‘s defense in April and May, reminded folks that he can be an offensive focal point in June. He faced some incredible big men throughout both live period events and owned each matchup. His physicality, footwork, and touch inside were the cornerstones of Ryan’s offense. And he did all of that without taking places off on defense. Ed Cooley and the Georgetown staff were pleased with the center they’re getting next fall.
Biggest Risers
The most dramatic change in the new rankings,Nasseem Wright jumped 215 spots – 248 to 33 – and, arguably, could be higher. But he wasn’t the only one who got a major bump in the rankings. Abdrahaman Coulibaly Abdrahaman Coulibaly 6'3" | SF West Philadelphia | 2024 State PA rose 162 spots. After missing the majority of his junior season, “AB” had a bounce back spring on the HGSL circuit, at the Post & Pivot spring league, and during the June live period.. He showcases his top tier athleticism and understanding of how to maximize his physical tools. Up 161 spots, Alex Hermann has been quietly hoopin. The rising senior impressed last month with his will to win. Only 6’3, he managed to lead his team in points and rebounds. Perry Fields Perry Fields 6'1" | CG Constitution | 2024 State PA is right behind Hermann in terms of the number of spots he rose, moving up 159 spots. Fields does the dirty work for SW Elite, but did a lot of everything for Boys Latin. His junkyard dog mentality infected others and will continue to do so come December. Kamani Healy moved 156 spots in the rankings because he’s simply a good player. He doesn’t do anything flashy; he just defends, spaces the floor from three, and makes winning plays. Macon Emory (131 spots) and Isaac Dye Isaac Dye 6'3" | SG State College Area | 2024 PA (114 spots) are more huge risers.
