But that leaves a lot of room in the class for others to garner all-state attention.
Here’s our best guess of some who may rise up to claim 1A Div. I all-state spots next spring (in alphabetical order):
Spencer Coup Spencer Coup 6'1" | SG Solomon | 2024 State KS , 6-foot-1 guard, 2024, Solomon (pictured):
Slowed by injuries as a junior, Coup will be ready for a big season season. He’s been a do-it-all star at Solomon for a couple of years now and has a ton of experience. He’s also a winner, having established himself as one of the top small-school golfers in the state.
Chase Honarvar Chase Honarvar 6'7" | C Bishop Seabury Academy | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-7 center, 2025, Bishop Seabury:
We’ll put one big man on this list. There’s not a ton of height in the 1A classes, so Honarvar may step up as a dominant big. He’s a dominant shot stuffer and averaged a double-double as a sophomore. If Seabury can take a step up in the win-loss column, this big guy should get some recognition.
Caden Morgan Caden Morgan 6'2" | SF Lacrosse | 2024 State KS , 6-foot-2 forward, 2024, LaCrosse:
Morgan has been up for all-state consideration for a couple of years. He led LaCrosse to state last season, averaging 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals per game. The Leopards return a ton of talent and should be one of the top teams in the class next season. Watch for Morgan’s name to get a lot more mentions as a senior.
Owen Reece Owen Reece 6'3" | PF Hodgeman County | 2024 State KS , 6-foot-3, 2024, Hodgemen County:
A stat-monster for a couple of seasons, Reece has been in the running for all-state honors and should get those honors as a senior. He averaged a double-double as a junior with 19 points and 10 rebounds. His teams have been really good and hope to make the jump to state in Reece’s senior season.
Blake Skalsky Blake Skalsky 6'5" | C Olpe | 2024 State KS , 6-foot-5 center, 2024, Olpe:
Will the Olpe dynasty continue despite graduations? Once again they lose some key pieces. They may build around big man Skalsky, who was a key to the team’s state trip last year. He will have to add to the 12 points and 6 boards he averaged as a junior.
