Nas Spencer is a talented player that could really benefit somebody at the next level. Let’s take a closer look at him as a player and a prospect.
Name: Nas Spencer
Height: 5’11”
Position: Combo Guard
School: East Kentwood
Grassroots Program: West Michigan Future
Strengths Of His Game:
– Attacking off the bounce: Spencer is very comfortable with the ball in his hands and making plays with it. He can get defenders on his hip.
– Mid range game: When attacking off the bounce like listed above, he does great work from mid range. He can draw the defense and dish as well as hit a pull-up mid range jumper.
– 3 point range on jumper: Spencer is tough to guard because when the defense starts playing back and waiting for him to attack, he can bury a triple off the bounce.
– Basketball IQ: He has a good natural feel for the game and the action.
– Rebounding guard: Spencer attacks the ball off the rim. He’s the type of guard that tracks it accurately and explodes after the ball.
– Passing: He’s an accurate passer that can find teammates both in traffic and when on the move. Spencer’s especially solid passing or dumping the ball off when attacking the rim.
Area For Improvement
– On ball defense: Spencer has quick feet and all the tools to be an excellent defender. If he can improve this aspect of the game it will be very difficult for coaches to take him out of the game.
Basketball Goals:
Spencer knows what he wants from the game of basketball and he’s going after it. His goals are focused and concise. He wants to “play college ball and just have fun”.
