In front of college coaches and scouts, these prospects brought top notch energy to the floor in hopes to take their craft to the next level. Here are some prospects at the “Lead Guard” position who I was able to highlight at “Last Dance”.
Kayden Travis | CBA South
Travis set the table for a well rounded CBA South team. He was able to stretch the floor a great deal on day 1 of pool play at The Last Dance. In addition to spacing the floor for teammates the fleet footed guard was creating off the dribble for explosive finishes at the basket. His ability to switch gears in the open floor was apparent throughout the weekend.
Cole Dubois | Team Illinois
Dubois stood out at the combo guard and was reliable on and off the ball for Team Illinois. His patience and willingness to probe defenders added to his next level shot selection. Dubois was a major contributor to a solid run at The Last Dance. The all around guard of the 2027 class held his own against older competition.
Braylen Schirado Braylen Schirado 6'0" | CG Beulah | 2026 State ND | ND Phenom
Schirado was a calming presence for a deep ND Phenom team. His pace and court vision made for good pace and rhythm to his team’s offense. He needed to be accounted for in the half court due to his ability to heat up quickly from range. When ran off the line he used his body well and got to his spots on a consistent basis.
Cruz San Antonio | Athlete Basketball Academy
San Antonio is as smooth as they come at the lead guard position. Doing most of his damage in the pick and roll, he was able to hit the roller in a precise and timely fashion. The Athletic Basketball Academy guard showed crafty finishes at the basket with either hand. Most impressive was his ability to find himself open off the ball and knockdown shots in succession off the catch.
Keshaun Manney | Team Illinois
Proved himself to be a true floor leader over the weekend for Team Illinois. He showed a next level toughness when attacking the basket. Manney did most of his damage attacking off the catch and pulling up in the mid range. Manney is a 2027 guard who competed well against tough 2026 talent. He is a promising prospect to keep an eye out for.
Michaels helped lead his team to an undefeated weekend. Creating chaos on defense and applying pressure on the rim on offense. The energy giving guard brought it from start to finish for Minnesota Select . His nose for the ball when shots went up also made for winning basketball. Michaels effort and talent made him a standout at The Last Dance.
