Over the course of the weekend, I saw countless of players and teams compete with multiple big time performances throughout. Let’s take a look at some of my top underclassman performers that I saw at the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals and evaluate their performance.
Colson Dobre Colson Dobre 6'7" | PF Marquette Catholic | 2026 State IN is a post player that is so physically matured for his age. At 6-foot-5, Dobre has a soft touch around the basket and does a solid job of using his body well around the basket. He is not the fastest post player right now, but is mobile enough right now to get out and run. For Indiana Game 2026 Elite, he was just real consistent around rim and showed potential as a post defender. Like the upside here with Dobre with what he can bring for Marquette Catholic.
Highlights
Another player that stood out for me for Indiana Game 2026 Elite was Gary 21st Century guard Jacolby Donaldson Jacolby Donaldson 6'0" | PG Gary 21st Century | 2026 IN . At 5-foot-10, he is not very big but has long arms that looks like he is going to eventually grow into. He played more of the ‘shooter’ role for Indiana Game and was working really well off the ball to free up a look. On the ball, thought his handles looked to give him potential to be a consistent threat off the dribble in the near future.
Keylan Smith Keylan Smith 6'4" | SF Park Tudor | 2026 State IN – 2026 6’3 F – Park Tudor – EG10 ‘ last=”]’ last=”] 2026
There was no other underclassman that immediately just made his presence felt physically than Park Tudor’s Keylan Smith Keylan Smith 6'4" | SF Park Tudor | 2026 State IN . Playing for EG10 ‘ last=”] 2026, Smith was often their ‘go-to’ guy in the post and he was so good about attacking the basket from the wing. When he would attack, he would use his natural strength to just bully guys away from him along with explosiveness and improved handles.
Adrian Wilson – 2026 6’2 G/F – Warren Central – EG10 ‘ last=”]’ last=”] 2026
Adrian Wilson was another player that stood out for me on this EG10 ‘ last=”] 2026 squad. While he was likely playing a little out of position playing in the post, I thought he did a great job in that area. Rebounded the ball well and show some smooth scoring ability around the rim. For his size at 6-foot-2, he will likely be playing more of the win in the long term but for EG10 ‘ last=”], he was one of their bigger players. As far as versatility, there is potential there.
Isaiah Hill – 2027 6’9 F/C – Pike – Team Teague 2025
As far as underclassmen that played this past weekend, there wasn’t a player with more upside than incoming Pike freshman post player Isaiah Hill. At 6-foot-9, there are not many incoming freshman in the nation, let alone, the state that have Hill’s length. At his age already, he already looks to be a legit rim protector and showed that playing up two grades for Team Teague 2025 over the weekend. His motor, however, still needs some improvement but that could have been him just overthinking his game playing with the older guys. There is an untapped amount of potential as an overall player with Hill.
