SD Elite started a bit sluggish against Hoopson Elite 2026 (OH) but it did not take long for the SoDak ballers to get going. Elite has a nice mix of talent with a playmaking PG, serious shooters, size/length, and some major athletes. Coach Anthony Cordova’s squad has come a long ways since I saw them play in Sioux Falls in May. Keep track of South Dakota Elite and all of these talented players. The future looks bright!

SD Elite Standouts
Parker Graff Parker Graff 6'0" | CG Wessington Springs | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’0 G| Wessington Springs
19 points, 3 triples. When I saw the team from Ohio playing zone to start the game, I knew it would only be a matter before Graff busted the zone. Parker is a lefty sniper with extended range and he got loose for 3 triples today. A couple of them came from beyond college range, if not deeper. Parker’s shot is effortless and pure. Graff is not just a shooter. He can slash and score as well. He showed some sweet runners/floater that made me think Manu Ginóbili! Graff was also slashing through the teeth of the D and getting to the rack for scores. Parker likes to push the tempo and play fast. He scored in transition and dropped a couple dimes. Graff looked like a 1-man press break at times and he weaved through traffic like a sports car. Parker was an active rebounder and one of the top dawgs on the court this morning.
Justin Bilal Justin Bilal 6'4" | SF Sioux Falls Lincoln | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’3 G/F| SF Lincoln
21 points, 5 triples. He is a serious 3-level scorer. Bilal was obviously hot from 3pt land as he hit 5 of them. He was also a dawg on the O-glass. Bilal has long arms and he is extremely athletic. He was always battling for the ball. Justin also picked off passes and forced turnovers. He looked great in the catch-n-shoot game. I like how he spaced the floor and was always ready to shoot. Bilal also impacted the game by altering and changing shots with his long wingspan. It was a great morning from Mr. Bilal.
Rico Chol Rico Chol 6'7" | PF Sioux Falls Washington | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’7 PF| SF Washington
2 points. He is super long and he moves very well for his size! I like how Rico was always contesting shots with a high hand. The BIG Warrior scored his bucket on an O-board putback. I loved how he rebounded high and finished high. He did not bring the ball down and let the smaller players have a chance at it. This kid has a ton of potential.
Kuai Mayen Kuai Mayen 6'1" | SG Sioux Falls Jefferson | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’0 G| SF Jefferson
8 points. In the first half, Mayen did good work catching in the middle of the zone and attacking. He got to the FT-line after drawing contact and looks solid from there. I like the way he handles himself around the basket. Kuai is a nice athlete and he scored with a sweet floater in transition, he put in another floater from the baseline later in the contest. Mayen is a hustler who grabbed offensive rebounds to give Elite extra possessions.
Kuek Kuek Kuek Kuek 6'4" | SF Sioux Falls Jefferson | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’3 F| SF Jefferson
I did not have a him for a score but Kuek did many little things to help the team. He is a long and lanky athlete. Kuek did a nice job moving the ball and he found shooters on the perimeter. He is a hustler that is always trying to make a play on the ball. He also got after the boards. In the second half, Kuek showed his playmaking ability. He snuck up behind an offensive player from behind, poked the ball out, and created a timely turnover.
Jaden Haley-Cordova Jaden Haley-Cordova 6'1" | PG Sioux Falls Lincoln | 2026 State SD (2026) |5’11 G| SF Lincoln
13 points, 3 triples. I like this kids game! He is a much better shooter than I realized. Jaden has a fluid stroke with a soft-high release. He shot it accurate and confident. Besides being a talented shooter, Jaden is a stud PG. His handles were impressive and he can make all the passes. I love he how penetrated into the zone, drew help, and moved the ball to shooters. He also created turnovers and scored with an O-board putback. Haley showed his athleticism with a slash-n-score. Jaden got to the rim, contorted his body around a defender, and finished with a lefty scoop shot.
Ryan Baker Ryan Baker 6'2" | SF Sioux Falls Lincoln | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’3 G| SF Jefferson
5 points. He is a hard worker and a vital role player. Baker hustled and brought the juice. He gobbled up multiple offensive rebounds and scored on a quick stick-back. Baker scored in traffic and put in a big AND1 during a key moment in the game.
Eric Smith (2026) |5’7 G| Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA)
10 points. The Iowa kid is speedy! Smith stuck out to me as an athlete with quick feet. He he is pesky on-ball defender. Smith has lateral quickness and blow-by speed. He scored off the bounce and off cutting. I liked how quickly Eric cut, caught, and scored. He showcased a lightning quick spin move and a nice dish-off to a teammate for a score. Eric scored in transition and he helped close out the game with a breakaway bucket late.
