Q&A with coach Roko Dominovic
PHD: Why are you excited about this team/ roster?
Coach Dominovic: “I’m excited to have a really talented group of boys with lots of potential. They work hard and are getting better as a team and individually with every game and practice together. I’m excited to work with them and can’t wait to see how much they’ll improve over the summer.“
PHD: What will be a couple of your strengths as a team?
Coach Dominovic: “This group is full of competitors that do not give up. Offensively, we can score on all three levels and we do not depend on one player which makes it harder to guard us. Also, our team defense has been improving and I hope will be a game changer for the team.“
PHD: How often does your team practice/work out?
Coach Dominovic: “We practice as a team once or twice a week for two months.“
PHD: What style of basketball do you play on the offensive end?
Coach Dominovic: “Our offense is based on a continuous motion set that gives everyone a chance to be aggressive, score or create for others. Our goal is to move the ball and find great looks for each other.“
PHD: What brand of defense do you foresee your team playing?
Coach Dominovic: “We play on ball aggressive man-to-man defense with active help side.”
PHD: Is there an event/tournament you’re most looking forward to and why?
Coach Dominovic: “Both tournaments in Omaha and Pentagon SF will be a great test for this group. A lot of good games and chances to get better as a team and individually. Looking forward to them!“
