NIKE wrapped its EYBL with Peach Jam. A sprinkling of Tennessee-based players, or players that grew up in Tennessee before transferring out of state, played in the event. Scan their contributions and performances on the top stage in AAU basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1145719' first='Tyler' last='Tanner'] Brad Beal Elite (MO) finished 9th overall in assists per game (4.8) among the entire EYBL. Also, Tanner's 2.2 spg sorted him third overall!

[player_tooltip player_id='1213156' first='Curtis' last='Givens III'] was ice cold shooting at Peach Jam. He runs with MoKan out of Kansas City. Givens III made only 9 out of 43 from beyond the arc! That is glaring. Everybody has bad shooting nights. Maybe bad weekends. But, Givens III is revealing that is a real hole in his game. Not that his recruiting is suffering though. In on him are LSU, Memphis, UConn, Georgia Tech, Indiana. He will be a HM point guard with size. Oh, his field goal percentage was alarmingly low overall too, 25-75 (33.3%).

R'Chaun King played just a little bit. YOu might remember King from MUS. He was an underclassmen there along with Givens III. King is now attending Link Prep in Missouri. This weekend King played sparingly. He was able to get nine rebound and take a dozen shots.

The third Tennessee-relevant member of Brad Beal Elite is [player_tooltip player_id='1213161' first='Julius' last='Thedford']. Perhaps it should "was" as the AAU season is over now for BBE. Thedford is making a push for Top 3 in the class. Missouri State University got a steal with Thedford as the athletic wing just keeps getting better and better. He finished the weekend 55.0% from the floor (22-40) and made 86.7% from the rectangle's edge (FT line). There is a Tennessee connection to Missouri State University actually as the head coach in Springfield, Missouri is Dana Ford who succeeded during his brief tenure as head of Tennessee State University.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560719' first='Trey' last='Pearson'] (Pope Prep) spent his summer with Brad Beal Elite, a power program out of St. Louis. He shared time with PrepHoopsTN in a phone interview in the linked story above. Pearson's contributions from the point guard position were largely defensive and passing. This past weekend he averaged 2.6 apg, 5.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg. Pearson's best offensive game occurred Tuesday against The Family (Detroit) within which he made 6-9 FG for 15 points in 19 game minutes. A Class of 2026 star, Pearson is already being scouted by Division 1 programs.

Former Memphis East talent Billy Richmond averaged 18.0 ppg.
