Kheiri Haynes Kheiri Haynes 5’9″ | PG Zachary | 2024 State LA was the biggest stock riser of the weekend after controlling each game with his on court presence and leadership. This floor general set the tone and helped propel his team to the top in an incredibly impressive fashion. His passing ability, particularly in transition, was nothing short of extraordinary, as he quickly found open teammates or delivered perfectly timed lob passes. Haynes showcased incredible court vision, threading the needle with precision passes whether he’s driving or in mid-air. He also weaved around defenders and tight spaces effectively. His bag of crossovers, hesitations, and behind-the-back dribbles created space and open driving lanes. In pick-and-roll situations, Haynes thrived as he set scoring opportunities up. He read the defense like a book and exploited the slightest openings to penetrate the teeth of the defense. Haynes displayed a masterful way of avoiding shot-blockers, utilizing floaters, up-and-unders, and reverse layups with finesse in heavy traffic. His uncanny ability to draw fouls and convert difficult shots while under pressure earned him numerous trips to the foul line. Defenders found it nearly impossible to anticipate Kheiri’s next move, thanks to his lightning-quick thinking, change of speed and direction, followed by a remarkable burst in his first step, that easily led him by defenders.

Team L.O.E.’s leading bucket getter Gavin Davis emerged as one of biggest standouts of the tournament. His ability to break down a defender before splitting through traffic with remarkable elusiveness made Gavin a force to be reckoned with the ball in his hands. His crafty up and under finishes and precise drive and kick passing skills showcased his versatility as a playmaker. His hesitation, killer dribble jab steps, and deadly cross jab attacks, made him seem unstoppable at times, often leaving defenders off-balance and guessing. Gavin’s go-to move at the top of the key proved to be highly effective and usually resulted in an open shot or driving opportunity. Davis’s jump shot was a thing of beauty, displaying impeccable textbook mechanics with a fluid release. His pull-up jumper off the dribble was very impressive especially when he was able to set his feet, making him a threatening shooter from both mid and three-point range. Gavin’s three-point shooting proved to be on another level, as he consistently knocked down shots from all around the arc, whether it came off the dribble from the wing or spot-up jumper the corner. Gavin Davis will be a name to remember throughout this upcoming high school season. This highly underrated player has emerged as one of Texas’s most promising prospects. With his scoring, lights-out shooting, and guard versatility, there’s no doubt in my mind that he will continue to make waves and be a key player to watch in the future.
Dylan Jay was an impressive high-level prospect with a natural three-level scoring prowess alongside a phenomenal feel for the game. With his 6’5 height, solid athleticism, and college-ready build, Jay looks well-prepared for the next level of play.

Julius Brundage Julius Brundage 6’4″ | SG Saginaw | 2024 State TX proved to be a true sharpshooter. He displayed great elevation to his already lengthy frame and high release point which combined made his jumpshot deadly. This marksman put points on the board with his unlimited shooting range and remarkable efficiency. Outstanding shooter off the catch he comes around the perimeter turning his feet and shoulders together before firing with a quick trigger shooting motion, swiftly getting his shot off before defenders can close out. At 6’4”, Brundage has good size for the shooting guard position with broad shoulders built for holding muscle. Julius is a fluid athlete who excelled by capitalizing on scoring opportunities in transition by beating the defense down the floor. He even showed the ability to finish above the rim jumping off one or two feet when given space in the open floor. In the halfcourt, Brundage shined as a floor spreader and intelligent cutter, displaying a knack for reading defenses and positioning himself in effective scoring spots. Game after game, Julius Brundage Julius Brundage 6’4″ | SG Saginaw | 2024 State TX showed why he’s such a promising three-point specialist as he consistently scored in the double figures.
Omar Gayle
Omar Gayle
Omar Gayle was not just an exceptional scorer, but also a brilliant point guard on the court. His natural scoring instincts and crafty finishing around the rim made him a pure threat. Undeniable lane penetrator, Gayle effortlessly slashed through defenses and got to the rack at will. His ability to read the game and turn the corner on the high pick and roll allowed him to be a game changing playmaker. Gayle’s speed, quickness, and low base played major roles in him getting by defenders so easily. Dynamic player and a flat out nightmare for opposing teams to handle in transition. College-ready speed, precise handle, and knack for creating space and angles. Excellent facilitator, he set up his teammates for open shots and kept the offense flowing. What really set Omar Gayle apart was his poise and control on the court, despite his scoring prowess, he never rushed, he remained composed and made intelligent decisions with and without the ball.
