Bryton has a shot to make an impact on a team that really needs a player that can help get the ball to it’s scorers and create. He is going to have upwards of three players out on the wings looking for shots and he just might be able to help them get those looks. His quickness and keen sense out there on the floor is going to help him rise up among PG’s in this class.
When it comes to bigs that might be able to effect the game having two 6’8 + and not only a big that can patrol the paint but a big that can help not give easy buckets to players. A great player to have on the floor. He could be that do the dirty work type of player. Although this kid is a big time D1 football player his stock could rise with excellent play this Winter.
Highlights
It might be odd to have a player ranked in the Top 10 in the Stock Rising category but John just took over the best shooter in the state title. There is nobody in the state that would be able to do what he did on the 3SSB Circuit and even the U.S Open. He was being face-guarded, teams ran a Box & 1, teams even tried to put bigger defenders on him. When you’re 6’3 shooting over 6’6 defenders and burying 4+ three-pointers a game was impressive. John had a few performances where he went 6/6 and 6/7 from beyond the arc. The way he can catch and shoot with quickness and going full speed is impressive. He wasn’t walking up and casting, he wasn’t just catching and shooting open looks these were tough buckets. Watch out for John he’s coming.
Treyce is a nice young player over at Murray that will get varsity minutes and he will provide a great range of skills that can help his team win. He has some speed off the dribble that will allow him to attack the rim, he will also provide some good attack and draw two to find other open player. Shooting ability is there as well.
With shooting at a premium Owen is a player that can really shoot the ball. He might have to make noise at the lower level but he is building to be a weapon when called upon. He is a player we are excited to watch that will be a lower level player that could be impactful once he gets to the varsity level.
