Qatar Respresented:
Qatar Foundation took part this weekend in Myrtle Beach at the Big Shots event. Seif Badr was a bright spot for this team. Badr a undersized post player was able to create some mismatches at times and a willingness to score around the bucket. Badr originally from Egypt has been in Qatar for a while now he told Prep Hoops.
Palmetto State Players Still Looking:
Ty Bennett
Bennett is plugging away and still playing with Big Shots SC Select here this Grassroots season. The power guard from Carolina Forest HS still remains unsigned for next year.
Xander Fairbanks
Fairbanks finished his high school career at Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach after playing at Waccamaw HS. Fairbanks looks to be doing a postgraduate year at Flight 22 next year. Xander was running here today with Pawleys Island Elite.
Kamari Boyd and Jy Gladden will be headed to Cleveland CC (NC) and Francis Marion University this coming fall. This duo both suited up for Big Shots SC Select here this weekend.
Hoop State Players Still Looking:
Caden Fitzgibbons
Fitzgibbons recently finished the past few seasons at Winston-Salem Christian (NC). Caden is a very good athlete with a great motor. He was constantly in position today to make plays. His shot was falling from the perimeter here today in a victory for his squad.
Jalante Edwards
Edwards was hit by the injury bug this past season at Quality Education Academy. Jalante is a tough-nosed blue-collar kid on the hardwood. He constantly brings the effort and does the little things to help your squad win games. He will grab a rebound outside of his area, pick up a 50/50 ball, jump on the deck or simply take a charge.
AJ Baskerville
Baskerville finished his high school career at West Forsyth HS this past spring. AJ was able to slash to the rack when he wasn’t pulling up for jumpers. Baskerville has the ability to turn it on and score the ball in hurry at times with his play.
Fitzgibbons, Edwards and Baskerville all run on Big Shots Elite North Carolina with Head Coach Whit Holcomb-Faye.
Melquan Jackson
Jackson played this past season at Pine Forest HS in Fayetteville. Melquan was running here with Team Pressure 910. He averaged 17.3 ppg this past season for the Trojans.
Jackson really showed a nice overall game with his ability to score from all 3 levels on the floor. He really just plays the game under a good demeanor and mindset. Melquan has good knack to score the ball and using his body to get to the cup.
Volunteer State Here:
Jamar Livingston
Livingston informed Prep Hoops that he will be attending Orangeville Prep in Canada this coming season to do a postgraduate year. Jamar was a 2,000-point scorer in his high school career in the State of Tennessee.
