ETG was one of the most impressive 16U Teams that I got to see this weekend. But their star, Braden Frager Braden Frager 6’6″ | SF Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State #211 Nation NE , stood out the most. He is polished in all areas offensively and never plays outside of the offense. Although he is a good shooter both off the catch and off the dribble, the most impressive attribute in my opinion is his unselfishness. His quickness and handle allow him to frequently beat his defender and then when the help comes, he is smart enough to read the rotation and find the open man. Oh and don’t jump with him at the rim either, a couple of players learned the hard way this week.
One of the more highly touted players in the 2025 Class lived up to the hype this week in Rock Hill. Darryn Peterson Darryn Peterson 6’5″ | CG Huntington Prep | 2025 State #4 Nation WV does a little bit of everything, but at a high level. He is a good on-ball defender and rebounder, but he is at his best with the ball in his hands on the offensive end. He sees the floor very well and has great touch on his pull-up jumper but can also finish around bigger bodies at the rim. Darryn also possesses all the physical requirements to play at a High Major level including size, strength, and in particular a quick first step.
Another one of the big names on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit, Isiah Harwell Isiah Harwell 6’5″ | CG Wasatch Academy | 2025 State #7 Nation UT had a monster week playing up to help Utah Prospects win the 17U Palmetto Road Championship. Harwell is a scoring threat from all levels of the floor that can excel as either an on-ball guard or an off-ball guard. Winning the Adidas Nationals caps off an extremely successful summer for Isiah, after previously participating in the NBPA Top 100 Camp and the FIBA U16 Americas Championship with the US National Team.
Ervin is an interesting prospect to observe. He is listed at 6’8″ but plays above that on defense due to his plus wingspan and athleticism. Depending on the system, Gelonni could fit into multiple different positions. He is a top shot blocker and had 6 Blocks in a game this week in Rock Hill. On the Offensive End, he is still developing a consistent jumper, but is dominant in the Pick-And-Roll as a Lob Threat which is another attribute that plays off his extreme athleticism.
Brayden Boe Brayden Boe 6’5″ | CG Mountainside | 2025 State #254 Nation OR is one of the Top Scorers in the 16U Division of Adidas 3SSB. He averaged 17.0 PPG during the Regular Season, and followed up with a really good week in Rock Hill. I got to see him in person for the first time in a matchup with Upward Stars, and Boe got hot in the Second Half. He is an extremely confident shooter that can score in multiple ways. Also, Brayden is unafraid in seeking contact and is an automatic free-throw shooter which is a big bonus down the stretch in close games.
Jaiden Reynolds
Jaiden Reynolds
Jaiden is one of my favorite players from this past week in Rock Hill. On Saturday he played an early morning game against NY Wiz Kids, and he had a great shooting performance. Reynolds has a beautiful stroke that has both a high release and a high arc. At 6’7″, he can shoot over most 2 Guards and can add spacing to any offense. He also makes winning plays, including a Go-Ahead 8 Foot Push Shot with 10 seconds left in Regulation. I am excited to watch the progression of Reynolds from afar in the Upcoming Season at Winston Salem Christian School.
