Ethan Reid Ethan Reid 6’3″ | CG Southeast Raleigh | 2025 State NC easily stole the show as the top standout in the 16U division with Garner Road Select at OneDay Bump 7. He’s a prospect that’s made a ton of strides in the backcourt over the past few months after putting his name on the radar. He averaged 26.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 3.0 apg, 1.5 spg and knocked down six 3-pointers across their two victories to show off his growth. He knocked down a buzzer-beating halfcourt shot to propel the Select squad to a victory over the GRBC 3SSB 2026 squad in the championship to solidify his MVP effort. Shaw University is the most recent school to offer him as his stock continues to rise.
Marcel Freeman Marcel Freeman 6’0″ | PG North Johnston | 2025 State NC is an exciting lead guard to watch operate in the backcourt for Garner Road Select. He’s got such an old-school feel for the game with his ability to knock down shots in the midrange and get to the rim whenever he wants with his high-level ball-handling ability. He finished with 16.0 ppg and 4.0 apg while knocking down six 3-pointers in their quest to the title. DI and DII programs in the area would be wise to get eyes on him NOW!

Jyi Dawkins Jyi Dawkins 6’3″ | SG Southern Guilford | 2026 State NC was easily the most impressive prospect in the GRBC 3SSB 2026 rotation with his ability to operate efficiently off the bounce in a variety of ways. He had the best single-game performance with 32 points along with four assists and three rebounds to show off his ability to lead by example in the backcourt. He’s a young 2026 prospect to get to know at Southern Guilford High given his ability to attack the paint off the bounce and make things happen in the open floor.

Elijah Melton Elijah Melton 6’6″ | PF Pinecrest | 2025 State NC is a model of consistency in the GRBC Select frontcourt with his ability to rebound the ball and finish around the rim. He’s an athletically-sound prospect at 6-foot-5 that plays with a ton of strength with the ball in his hands in the paint. He finished with 10.0 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 2.0 apg in their run to the title game and showed poise as a prospect that can make things happen with or without the ball in his hands. DI and DII programs in the region would be wise to get eyes on him.

Seung Sermons
Seung Sermons was a new face for Team Curry East that easily stood out for the 16U squad. He’s a 2025 prospect at 6-foot that’s fearless at the guard spot as evidenced by two performances of 21 points and then 19 points for his squad. He also showed he wasn’t afraid to rebound the basketball, averaging 4.5 rpg across two appearances while knocking down a total of six 3-pointers as well. He’s a young name to get to know given his confidence on the hardwood.

Darius Robinson
Darius Robinson is another impressive guard to get to know with Team Curry East . He’s another confident downhill threat that showed off his ability to finish around the rim and make things happen off the bounce. He finished with 11.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 4.0 apg and five made 3-pointers across his two appearances for his squad. He’s an impressive combo guard to get to know at NC Good Better Best Academy in the 2025 class.
TayShawn Mann TayShawn Mann 6’2″ | CG Ben L. Smith | 2025 State NC was another impressive backcourt piece in the GRBC Select rotation. He had a knack for getting rebounds out of the net and making things happen right away on the fastbreak front for his squad. He finished with 13.5 ppg, 4.0 rpg and 4.0 apg as an unselfish combo guard that used his strong frame in a variety of ways to make things happen. He’s another prospect with a bright future ahead of him at Ben L. Smith High.
