Some have received positive feed back from college coaches, and write ups from other scouts, while some have picked up their first and second DI offers during the month of June at Cali-Live, and Section 7 during the live period with their play at these events. Harris meets the eye test, along with his square shoulders, a frame to fill, and improving skill set that translates to the next level, coaches like his upside. No question he has work to do, he’s a stock riser in NorCal. The tall shooting guard doesn’t force shots, he squares up right for long and short range jumpers with a good field goal percentage. He’s a good ball handler able to get to his spots or finish inside with his length. He’s probably underrated as a passer, and his length on defense helps. He can run point in the crunch.
Highlights
He’s an improving prospect with a good all around skill-set that contributes in ways that helps his team. At 6’7 playing 16U he has good size to defend in the post. He doesn’t mind mixing it up for rebounds, he’s a good ball mover. He has the tools to work away from the basket, handling and passing, he can drive it. He has good post moves a jump hook, paint jumper, he can back you down from the mid-post and shoot over the top. We’ve seen him knock down corners 3’s from both sides, and hit the free throw jumper.
Jones has good size for a guard, with tools to generate a buckets, he’s a willing passer, but looks for his opportunities to put one in the net. He has a jump shot that goes in more often than not. He has deep 3 range, and good bounce off the dribble for pull-ups. He’s strong enough to handle the contact on his drives into the paint, and has the hops to challenge bigs at the rim. He’ll run, and handle in transition, look for openings to go all the way or drop a 3ptr. He’ll continue to rise if he stays locked in.
A physically strong prospect who can handle the bumping and banging that goes on inside, yet has an improving skill set that’ll let him gets to some work along the perimeter. A solid body and hard dribbles gets him to the rim through contact and maybe a dunk or two. He’s a top notch rebounder on both ends of the court. He’s shown himself to be a rising prospect if he continues to expand his jump shot. Right now he can be a double, double prospect at this level.
Vaucher is likely still growing, he has a frame with a long wing span. We’ve seen him run free in transition looking to put up 3’s in rhythm, then work around the perimeter spotting up for corner catch 3’s that goes down. He can be assertive in the post area using his length to score inside, snatch rebounds and lead the transition break. He has post scoring abilities, decent handles to get his shot off the dribble, and he can shoot the 3point shot. His long wingspan takes up passing lanes and disturbs wing shooters.
Highlights
White has steadily grown into the point guard position, he has the tools needed to run a teams offense. He’s a quality ball handler with quick dribble crossovers and more to get by defenders, he doesn’t waste dribbles. He has court vision, he’ll pass it up, penetrate to find his shooters or drop it off to a big inside. He has a paint jumper, floater, mid-range off the dribble, finish with either hand. He can hit a big 3 in the crunch. He has the speed and determination to stay with other speedy handlers. He’s been consistent up top.
Highlights
Seals has steadily expanded his game this Spring. He’s shown he can be a contributor in different ways. He works well without the ball slashing, cutting and finishing around the rim including dunks coming from different angles, and in transition. At 6’5 he has guard like handles to work from the perimeter, getting into the paint for jumpers and going high to finish over shot blockers. He can handle and pass in transition. He has a quick jump to get rebounds, long arms and foot speed to defend on the perimeter and the paint.
He’s a rising guard who has the handles, and the body along with hard dribbles to attack and finish at the rim with either hand, he plays through contact, makes his free throws. He plays, hard but on balance using his body at times in a physical way to gain an advantage. He has a mid-range off the dribble jumper that goes in. He has a bit of combo guard in him showing he could run things up top with good handles and passing. He brings it up in transition, or fills the lanes going hard to finish in transition.
He’s a versatile player who works mostly around the rim at the 16U level. He’s good finishing around the rim, taking it up high and strong, he hits the paint jumper. He’ll battles bigs with good footwork and constant movement making them work for points. He’s a good rebounder. We think he’s more of wing player with good handles, and the ability to create his shot off the dribble. He’s good in transition, has foot speed to defend on the perimeter. He can hit the short corner jumper, attack the base line. He’s had a good Spring
