Here are some Wichita-area returners who earned all-league honors last season but have yet to receive a lot of pub for their work:
Central Plains League:
Harvey Zimmerman, 6-foot-2 forward, 2024, Wichita Trinity Academy – 2nd team
A sought-after football recruit, Zimmerman’s combination of strength and length played well on the court. He was a powerful force in the paint, but could also get open on the perimeter to catch and shoot threes.
Josh Burdick, 6-foot guard, 2025, Cheney – 2nd team
Another football standout, Burdick helped lead Cheney to a 17-6 campaign as a dangerous shooter from deep and an athletic defender and rebounder. The multi-sport stud also got it done on the baseball field.
Greater Wichita Athletic League:

Van Haneberg, 5-foot-11 guard, 2024, Bishop Carroll – Honorable Mention
As a guard with some talented players around him. Hanenberg was a productive leader. He chipped in 10 points 3 rebounds and 2 assists as a junior. He provided a crucial perimeter threat and occasionally went for 20-plus points.
Central Kansas League:
