That leads us to the topic of discussion in this article…Who are the top 3-point shooters in North Dakota?
We picked 3 players from each class (’24, ’25, ’26). That leaves us with nine shooters to look at. These guys can fill it up!
2024’s
Last Season Stats: 14.3 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1 apg, 47.5 FG%, 45.1 3FG%, 79 3FGM, 82 FT%
Comments: He has an offer from SMSU and is receiving interest from a mix of D1 & D2 schools. Schafer is a bucket from beyond the arc. Isaiah has proven in the past two years that he is an elite shooter, not just in North Dakota but the Midwest. In AAU, Schafer seems to always be the best shooter on the floor. His consistency is impressive, every shot looks the exact same. Big things ahead for the SNIPER from Century!
Last Season Stats: 29 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2 apg, 1 spg, 46 FG%, 78 3FGM
Comments: One of the most potent offensive weapons in the state of North Dakota. Friesz never seems to be cold, he is always hot when shooting the ball. Javin has one of the best pull-ups from beyond the arc that I saw last season. His shooting range is outrageous and his step-back is a thing of beauty. I know it is early, but Friesz has a good shot at being a Mr. Basketball candidate.
Last Season Stats: 16.2 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.6 apg, 44 FG%, 43.4 3FG%:, 102 3FGM, 67 FT%
Comments: Likely the best 3-point shooter that you have never heard of. 102 triples made in one season, in any class, is a big deal, and Ross did it in A! He hit a ton but also shot a blistering hot percentage. Wilber is smart about finding ways to get space for his shot. Ross has subtle & smooth footwork. After he let’s it go, his hand goes straight into the cookie jar, perfect follow through!
2025’s
Last Season Stats: 27.5 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 5.3 apg, 50 FG%, 40 FG%, 45 3FGM, 80 FT%
Comments: He has D1 offers from NDSU, UND, UNI, and has interest from many others. Klabo missed games last high school season with injuries and has been dealing with more this spring/summer. When he returns, Mason will be 100% and ready to make some noise. His stroke is textbook but his feet, hands, and usage of screens are what make him special.
Highlights
Last Season Stats: 27.4 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 3.1 apg, 4.2 spg, 1.2 bpg, 45 FG%, 34 3FG%, 71 FT%
Comments: The All-State talent picked up an offer from Minot State this past week. Braaten is a talented shooter but he is also an all-around scorer. If you close out too hard, Walker will beat you off the bounce. If you give him any space, the triple is going in. Braaten also has a sick step-back move that gives him separation to splash the 3.
Highlights
Last Season Stats: 11.2 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.7 apg, 48.2 FG%, 45.3 3FG%, 48 3FGM, 77.4 FT%
Comments: He recently picked up an offer from Minot State! Falcon has the length that college coaches love and his stroke is consistent, soft, and he has no trouble shooting over smaller defenders with his high release. Parker is not just a spot up shooter, he will drill triples off the bounce as well. Falcon can rip it from deep!
2026’s
Last Season Stats: 6.7 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 1.9 apg, 37 FG%, 36 3FG%, 44 3FGM, 62 FT%
Comments: Easy Money knocked down six 3-pointers in his first ever high school game. Very few people can make that claim! Evanson had a strong debut in his high school season and it will only get better from here. He is a deadeye shooter that can hit from beyond college range. I am excited to see Carter shoot tomorrow in Sioux Falls. The triples will be going down!
Last Season Stats: 10.5 ppg, 1.7 apg, 1 apg, 44.6 FG%, 41.6 3FG%, 43 3FGM, 78.9 FT%
Comments: He was the top scoring freshmen in class A last season. Benning is a southpaw and he can shoot the lights out. The young Saint showed that he belonged at the varsity level last season and Chris is having a standout AAU campaign. He is crafty, confident, and he can hit triples off the dribble & bounce. The kid is a special talent from deep.
Last Season Stats: 15 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.7 apg, .9 spg, 50 3FG%, 101 3FGM 75 FT%
Comments: Crazy numbers for a frosh! Jacobson’s 3-point shot looks the same as his FT-shot. Parker is great at moving without the ball and at finding space for his effortless shot. He reacts to the defense, catches ready to fire, and shoots with confidence. Jacobson is in the history books as a top sniper and his numbers should only improve as he ages.
